As for tie end to Inq. From the preview it seemed to give an indication of what the world state is like with both the circles and mages. I believe a group of Templar's also come to the wardens looking to join or something...

Apparently whenever a mage casts a spell, they can hear the whispers of spirits and demons in the corners of their minds. At least according to the personal perspective of the main character.  When they use blood magic, demons cloy at their consciousness. When a bloodmage uses a sustained blood magic spell, the demons howl and scream constantly in their mind until they release the spell. It takes effort to block them out. Blood magic use speeds up the rate of a warden's taint corruption.

 

 

Not sure if all of these were known aspects of DA lore but they were new to me.

Huh. I'll be damned...but wait. Avernus has been using blood magic for like a century and he seems to be going pretty strong still...
