I want mine bald. If I wanted to play a pretty boy, I would play an elf or a human. The whole reason I am playing Qunari is to feel like a beast.
I'm looking forward to making the prettiest qunari possible! ![]()
Not too fond of how this guy looks in those pics. Hopefully you can mess around the CC enough to make the qunari look far less ogre-ish. The female version looks a bit better though.
Long flowing blonde hair? ![]()
Yeah, there is...if want those women gamers to pick it up, it is a problem. They may bypass if they think its just another male protag. Talking about the many people that don't follow gaming news, we still got ladies (even some of my own family members) still picking their games up after its been out for so long not realizing females was playable, they only saw the males. ME3 changed that for several I know cause of the femshep trailers that appeared.
Yeah a few GS employees stated that they found it easier to sell ME3 games to women once they showed them the cover with Fshep on them. They even flip some of the covers around at my local stores showcasing M and F shep side by side on the shelves.
I am interested in seeing the customisation options. For example, how many different horns are there, can we even make a hornless qunari or if those marks on the face are optional and how many types to choose from. So far we had a glimpse at humans.
I'm too, I'd like to see if we can get long hair with horns for she-Qunari or no horns that'd be neat. While the exposure for both M and F inqusitionor has been 50/50 I do not think we've seen enough of feminqusitonor barley any games advertise their fem options the only other one I see do this next to DAI would be State of Decay, other RPGs I have to find out by digging or once I buy/rent the game and load it up and that's not good.
I find it funny how players keep saying it doesn't matter who they play as but we've seen push back people going can I even be a male because they aren't seeing him 100% of the time.
A trailer dedicated to the customization of the heros would give BW the chance to show both male and female side by side. I'd recommend is showing the full body both heros especially Fhero should be clothed as I know their marketing might just state well show her in her underwear while showing off the class changing options. Thats a cliche move. I'd say keep it on the shoulders and face show off scars and tattoos with a few hair options for the Fhero and for male show off beard, general face, and unique hair options for him. Of course state in text or words that you can be male or female. If they show the class types it should be represented as both male and female helmetless to keep fighting cliches I'd say warrior fem only, rouge male only, and mage show both back to back
During this trailer it may also be good to highlight both heros have same and opposite sex romantic options and show the confirmed LIs for both genders stating female only romances, male only romances, universal romances.
Show some clothing styles that are obtainable both casual clothing and armor styles for both heros so players can see how an entire look or two can be made using the whole system.
Tiny daggers for the Rogue are so cute XD
can't take that dude siriously with daggers like that
Wouldn't it be better just simply stab someone with horns? ![]()
Well, if George Washington and Abraham Lincoln said it then it has to be true. ![]()
Came to attention the male inquisitor is on the back cover, which might make people think the front is a male on the cover....with no gender option mentioned. Those that don't follow games (quite a lot) will consider this another "male only" game.
People who are idiotic enough to deem this a ''male-only game'' based on the cover - or who wouldn't buy a game because the player character happens to be male - are no big loss anyway.

So everyone who didn't know that FemShep existed for a long time because Bioware never bothered to show or mention her outside the game was idiotic, then?

I don't think that's what being said or perhaps the term idiotic was misused, or perhaps I'm too lenient. Maybe he/she meant that someone who will write something off simple by looking at it from face value is perhaps not the intended audience as oppose to people who may wish to explore something a little more. . A "judging a book by its cover" situation, I know at my game shop the ME3 covers had an option of being male or female and they made a point of showing both to avoid this kind of situation.
On subjects I hope I can make a Qunari that is not too "bullish". I like the look of the DA][ Qunari at least with the foot soldier, something about the face and how the horns weren't too "in your face". I don't know, the bull horns on Iron Bull, the almost devil-like horns here and concept of ram horns seems off-putting to me, but that's just me.

Yes. I was idiot 3 times, I think. I buy game knowing nothing about it, play it for few hours and forget it. My my own fault, I wasted money.

I have seen "Is this female-only game" comments around though, not the male one's. It seems like some male gamers were very concerned about that cause couple of gameplay trailers had female character in it
.
Personally I assume I can play as both genders if I can create my own character in the game.

Ok then. From now on, every game cover today and the next 30 years will ONLY display females. Nothing else. Oh, and every game will only be female.
Input? (personally I dont want one or the other dominant, both 50/50). Cover should say Can play male or female. I wasnt going to bother with 3 different games myself cause I couldnt find this information till later that they brought it up.
It isnt a big deal to you, it is a big deal to the companies trying to sell their product.
Also, if a trailer doesnt catch my attention with things I like, I wont even bother with the game. I didnt follow E3 at all till this year. It was the first year I did. So, yeah I missed out on lots of games myself for not paying attention to game play videos. I saw the trailer and said meh. Later, got some information and found out oh nice. But it was late, which means instead of getting 60 from me, they only got 10 or 20 from me, due to lack of advertising properly. So, those trailers are important, the information saying Can play male or female does help. Gameplay videos are alright but not to those that do not follow game conventions, like I did before this year. I never watched gameplay videos in the past.
Game play videos are spoilers more so than what trailers are. There are many still dont follow gameplay videos whom dont want to get spoiled.

More or less, yes.
Skyrim sold ten million on one platform alone - the Xbox 360 - and it's got a black box with a symbol on the cover. And that's got nine races with two genders each. And they only ever showed one MC option (a male nord) in the trailers to boot. Didn't hurt sales any there.

To be fair, it was also part of an established series where you could choose your gender, race, and class in the past.

But so is Dragon Age. Gender, that is.
True, and playing origins was the only way you'd think gender selection would be available in DA2 (although many probably thought we would be able to choose race too) since the trailers and promos all showed a fixed male Hawke. I feel as though The Elder Scrolls was more widely known but maybe that's just my own perception. But so is Dragon Age. Gender, that is.
TES series is much older than DA series, which does have a lot of word of mouth to lots of people, where as DA is newer and doesn't quite have that yet. Will see how it works out in another 5 years roughly in comparison?

Anyways, how 'bout that male Qunari eh? I wonder if he's as tall as IB? He looks nearly as beefy!

DA to after DA2. New Dragon age game. Ok I buying it. I say nothing about it. I don't care I know I will like it, even if it is bad. It's like pizza if it's bad it's still good.
DA and DA2 isn't bad, I love them myself.
My cousin heard about Skyrim and not Dragon Age before I talked to her about it, roughly early this year some time. I had a friend also that knew about Skyrim but till I talked about it, didn't know about DA either, she loves them now, she got them a month ago.
The only main trailers for dragon age origins that I can think of had a male cousland.
I meant you would know about gender selection in DA2 if you had played DA:O, not just from seeing the advertising for it. BW has a history of advertising that only shows the male version of the protagonist ![]()
The one thing I want as an option for the Qunari are the cut and blunted horns like Serabaas had in DA2.
I want that AND the Serabaas armor and mask.
