Didn't David Diablo say that Mass Effect could learn from Destiny?

Well, I hope they don't because Destiny might just be one of the most boring games ever made.

If anything they should learn from Dragon Age Origins, Mass Effect 1 and Mass Effect 2!

Agreed. Here's Jeff Gerstmann's Destiny drinking game:

(Don’t Try This At Home)

1. Drink every time your flying robot buddy has to scan something.

2. Chug if you have to fight off waves of enemies while your robot buddy is scanning.

3. Die of alcohol poisoning before you get off the Moon.

Destiny is a good game but Bioware shouldn't learn from it. Polygon.com gave Destiny a 6.0/10, for good reasons too.

  • Destiny is really easy even on hard difficulty, not challenging at all

  • Destiny's PvP is really unbalanced

  • Every freaking mission have you go through the same freaking area every time

  • Every time that you go through the same freaking area all of the enemies spawn in the exact same spot as before

  • Every mission requires your Ghost to scan something and then it's just enemy spam mode

  • The grinding in Destiny makes me wish they had the ME3 RNG Store

  • There's no real variety to anything really, that includes missions, enemies, weapons and much more

  • AI is stupid and more predictable than anything I've faced before

  • The way to make a mission "hard" is to give a boss an insane amount of health that takes forever to kill, it's only tedious and nothing else

  • Matchmaking system sucks

  • The story (or lack of story) sucks

These are just the things that I can think of in less than 5 seconds, give me some time and I can give you much more. It's an overhyped, overpriced piece of garbage. And if you want to expand on the experience that is Destiny then you will probably be able to buy like 10-20 DLCs during the year, all at the same price as a whole new game from another developer. And to think they had so many years to develop this game.....  :pinched:

I haven't been this disappointed with a game since Dark Souls 2 and ME3 Single Player.

Mass Effect 4/BioWare should definitely learn from Destiny if they ever felt like creating a boring fail overhyped videogame that will be a ghost town in 2-3 months.

If I could pick one game to influence the Mass Effect series it would be Alpha Protocol.

Although Alpha Protocol did have something that ME gameas didn't ever have: Truly branching stories. So yes, Mass Effect should take lessons about that.

Mass Effect can easily learn from destiny in how not to make a good game.

Destiny's missions are actually similar to me3 multiplayer except me3 multiplayer was may more fun and wasn't pretending to be story based because it actually had a campaign for that.

lolaimassist. Its waaaay too easy to get headshots.

The PvP is much more enjoyable when yer leveled up. I made the mistake of entering it at level 4 for my first time. It was bad. I kept getting OSK'd by overpowered fusion rifles :(

There are quite a few games that can teach Mass Effect a thing or two but Destiny is not one of them.

I think Destiny will be the MMO (or whatever it is Bungie decided to call it) version of Titanfall. A fresh, innovative and fun game that was way overhyped and didn't have enough content at launch. And by the time new content is added, via dlc or other means, people would have already lost interest and moved on to other titles.

I really hope not. I agree on that. Destiny is pretty dull.
