I noticed that the warrior specializations in DA I is exactly the same as the specializations in DA 2, while the rogue and mage are getting completely new specializations. I loved playing as a warrior ever since DA O, and I hate to see that the dev team (as great as they are) are kinda neglecting the warrior class. Any thoughts?
Recycled Warrior Specilaizations?

Close, but Assassin is a returning spec. In any case, I don't have a huge problem with it since the 3 warrior specs they kept are all pretty good.... I think. I actually have no idea what Champion will be like since both War Cry and Rally have been shown as general warrior talents.

It is rather curious. Warrior is definitely going to be the last class I play this time around.
I always found Champion excessively boring in DA:O, and since this is one of the few scenarios where Spirit Warrior could function without blatantly urinating on the lore I had a hunch that it would return instead.

Well, I guess but its still painful to me to see that there aren't any new specialization for warriors, plus it hurts even more that dual wielding warrior will never return (OP warrior build back in origins)

I did notice that, actually. Would have liked to see something new, but hopefully they can do something interesting with the ones that are already there.

I agree with you, but then I don't. I say that because the warrior classes they designed just work. With the mage and rogue I felt something lacking here or there but I feel like they were spot-on when making the warrior's classes because they cover all the roles a warrior should/could fill perfectly

DA2 had Templar, Reaver, and Beserker. DAI is Champion, Templar and Reaver
I would have preferred if the Warrior class got atleast 1 new specialization, but Champion supposedly got remade so that's something

For the games, go to the actual bioware page and go to your account. If you want to link DAO for example, make sure you registered it with the website and then click on it and copy the url and paste it in the settings menu.

I dont really mind since the animations of the game are completely different along with the movements and "physics" of the game. Plus there's only so much you can do with a sword in a game such as this.
Matter of fact now that i think of it, almost all the abilities that i've seen are new (the parry-counter,earth-quake thing, whirlwind type move) thats only a few

I've noticed it too. I'm more disappointed that there's no more Berserker spec anymore. ![]()

Yes I meant the social network website. Check under the "my games" tab I think it is, register your game with the product code, and if you do everything right you should see a page that has all your achievements, characters, stats, etc. You then copy the url and paste it in the setting tab on this website. Hope this helped you my friend

No offense but im actually ok with no berserkers, their damage output relies on draining their entire stamina pool with that berserk sustained ability
it was fun for a bit but i found that (IMO) the berserker class isn't as powerful as other warrior specialization

I didn't really like DA2 Berserker much either, though spamming Adrenaline to damage stack and adding that on top of Cleave increases your DPS a lot, despite it draining your stamina. I prefer DA:O Berserker, even if all you get is a sustained, 2 passives, and an activated ability.

Yup DA O berserker is better that DA 2 Berserker, thats a fact

The Warrior Class really got the shaft after Origins.
I suppose the developers that that the Warrior was too OP in Origins and watered down their options to make up for it...but that just makes the class seem dull and not as fun as Rogues or Mages.
Maybe the Warrior will be a little more interesting in Inquisition as opposed to DAII.

Let's hope so
I still wished that dual wielding warrior return from DA O

My thoughts exactly!
I missed dual wielding as a warrior in DAII and will no doubt miss it even more in the upcoming DA:I. It just worked so well and made me feel like a pure warrior slicin' and dicin' with a weapon of my choosing in each hand.
Dare to dream for its return one day I will ![]()

My MAN! Yess a fellow dual wielding warrior
I remembered how OP it was in DA awakening to have the sentinel set, Dumat's Spine and Vigilance on my warrior

Eh. I was a DW diehard in Origins, and I love playing 2H in DA2. I was an unkillable murder machine from beginning to end. Also, the first time I fought the Arishok I beat him with Devour, so not only was it fun, it was metal as ****.

Warriors are what they are, its kind of hard to design new classes around a melee fighter. Where as mages have a lot of variety, cause the possibilities of magic are infinite.... rogues are limited, but not as much as warriors are, they fill more than 2 categories.
