Cassandra would be lucky if she is half as awesome as Aveline. I can only hope.
Cassandra = The Aveline of DA Inquisition?

I thought Cass looks awesome, very sharp with strong features, and y'know, super lean with short hair because warrior.
[read: evil seeking dragon slaying badass of twenty plus years]
She has a tough shell, bit of a hardass, short temper etc., but come on, this is a person who has li'll baby hearts on her armour. There's a gooey doe-eyed romantic under there somewhere. "It will become my mission in life to find it." ~ Inquisitor.
Spoiler
Dear god, that last picture is in-game footage? That settles it, definitely not romancing anyone in my first playthrough.

God no. I hated Aveline.
It's not that she was a strong, capable fighter. Didn't have a problem with that.
I had a problem with the fact that she was a self righteous, judgmental busybody who made a point of getting into everyone's business and telling them how to live their lives.
Could not stand that ****.
At least she tried to be resonable and stay neutral, rather then being biased and picking sides. While as far as we know Cassandra is just the chantry yes man. And when did Aveline tried to "tell people how to live their lives"? Cause I don't remember that.

I don't see why you have to personally think a companion is the most attractive thing ever to romance them. I didn't find any of the companions in DA:2 particarly attractive physically because they just weren't detailed or realistic enough, with off textures and potato faces. But despite this I still greatly enjoyed Fenris's romance.
I do think Cassandra is attractive, thanks to the vastly improved graphics, but she is consideraly older than me and that is not really something I go for in real life. But my Inquisitor is not me and will be much closer to Cassandra's age, so it doesn't matter in the slightest.

You mean the animated movie where they made her look like an anime beach bunny that could do flips in plate armor, was so fast that she should slice a man's throat and charge through his blood that somehow splashed in the opposite direction of the cut, survive a jump off a cliff into a river without her plate armor drowning her, soloing a few golems and ogres, and so strong she could steer a dying dragon headlong into an elder dragon? That movie? She's obviously not but it is one of my greatest fears, I don't want a character as Cassandra to be treated as Aveline, after seeing the anime movie, I grew to like her as she is beautiful and very strong. But the screenshots and videos of her in Inquisition I've seen so far shows less and less feminine qualities, a very important aspect in an ony male romance option (IMO). Of course I may be wrong but I guess we'll just have to see until the game comes out. Any thoughts?
Cause if so, I'd be less worried about how she looks ~nothing~ like her character model in DA2, save for that her hair color is the same, and more about how much she'll outshine the Inquisitor with all her cinematic super powers.
They made her look like that in the movie to appeal to a wider audience. Maybe to make her look a bit younger, which makes no real sense because the movie tells you it takes place after the events in Kirkwall so she'd only have aged 3-4 years.
Cassandra is gorgeous. Not super model gorgeous, but more in line with a strong Nordic appeal. She has solid, defining features that lend an air of fine breeding and overall noble appeal.
She's statuesque. And that is always good to say about anyone.

I thought that movie was bad. It simply turned her into some Mary sue doing things solo that not even the warden and Hawke would be able to do. Hopefully she will be more realistic in Inquisition.
My personal issue with Cassandra is that they gave her an large square jaw, and that just bothers me. And that's coming from someone that finds Aveline attractive.

Poor Cass, gets bashed by so many straight males..... if only you were bi or gay, the ladies would've loved you from top to bottom. Makes me so sad to see all these complaints about Cass. ![]()
And ofc before anyone jumps on me with "not all men", i know this.

So yeah I will see but if I even sense any of that garbage then its Scribbles Time.

I for one would gladly switch her for Sera. One thing I won't do is feel bad or apologize simply for having an preference.

it seems like some kind of "payback" because straight males are everywhere in games/tv shows etc.
With DA:I they decided to give straight females more options and then they went on and made Cassandra ugly and extremly unattractive
and don't say its because she is a warrior who participated in many battles because like you said what about Cullen?
that dude looks better than ever before and he has seen some crazy stuff
Cullen was always a designer stubbled, well groomed, pretty boy. Cassandra is still pragmatic and short haired. If you don't like her new facial structure that's cool, but it wasn't a design choice to make her more unattractive. Suggesting there was an effort to spite straight males is delusions of self importance.
Personally I don't find her that attractive, but I'm not flipping out about it because she wasn't designed to appeal to me. I'm mostly just glad she looks like her own person and a lot less like Buzz Lightyear.

Hopefully her personility is alittle different when she isn't around others, so far everything seems to suggest she has a public face and a private face.
Personally speaking no one in DA:I seems all that young not even the samples of the Imquestior we have seen so far. So going to be different.
PErsonally think she is cute and for some reason like the scar she has.

I don't get people's problem with her hair. For what she does, her hair is practical. It's cut short so she can wear a helmet and so that even if her helmet comes off, you can yank her around by grabbing a handful of it.
Aveline kept hers in that tight bun for the same reasons.
A lot of flims and anime sort makes some see how hair works differently.
That hair cut however makes sense for close range fighting and wearing full plate considering lojg hair and helemts would mix well.
