maybe but still be homoirousThis type of Romance would be interesting if it was like Aveline/Sarcastic Hawke but with an actual Romance arc.Cassandra would constantly put The Inquisitor in his place it would be funny. But having a Pragmatic,Cold & Ruthless Inquisitor and her butting heads all the time would get old fast.
Cassandra = The Aveline of DA Inquisition?

I wonder why so many people talk about her being 'masculine'. I don't think that's the problem, really. It's not so much about her 'type' as it is about the specifics of her bone structure, especially in the upper half of her face, i.e. her eyes. Take a look at this drawing:
It's somewhat difficult to compare this to the in-game version of her, but still: If she looked like that in-game, I'd find her attractive. Now, it should be noted that type-wise, there aren't really any differences between this picture and her in-game looks. What is different, however, is her bone structure and facial composition, especially around the eyes.

It's both for me actually. I don't find her very appealing and I certanly have no intentions of being friends with her due to her ties to the Chantry (one of the main reasons I didn't romance Leliana).
I guess it's just perspective in the end. I personally prefer Sera over Cassandra. I can understand if people find Cassandra attractive, but it's annoying of how if someone disagrees, they are pretty much trown into the pike.
Actually your reasons seems reasonable. I was saying, is that most of the time is about her "masculine jaw or face" and not about her ideals, like being pro-chantry and so on.
I mostly ****** about people assuming they know the first thing about being feminine, this is mostly true for people that call her a man like that is a offensive thing. I am not even gonna to talk about the cissexism in this kinda of thinking but for the assumption, that if you do not covey a strong "feminine" stereotypical appearance or personalty you are probably not a woman.
The only people that can define that are the people that identify with being a woman. People have valid reasons to not liking Cassandra and even if she is not appealing to you, that is fine too but making that some way bash the concept of femininity and women, is wrong and offensive.

What's sadder is that it was obvious that she was very popular with that fan base as well. Nearly every fanart I've seen with her were f/f and after the reveal I stopped seeing art altogether of her
There isn't a lot of fanart in general for the game. Probably not surprising or bad since the game isn't out yet and we don't actually fully know what the characters are like yet aside from Varric. Even Cassandra we've only seen in a short scene and a spin-off movie when she was around 18-20.

Also, wide jaw isn't a "masculine" feature. A lot of women have them, does that make them "less women"? Just because you don't find a particular woman hot, doesn't mean she's less woman.
Stop with the "masculine" and "feminine" arguments already, there are a lot of ppl who are in the mix.

I think Cassandras Romance will be great but I foresee arguments my Inquisitors are not Pro-Chantry I figure her blade being at my throat will happen often.

There was more of her than anything else for awhile though but it is also true that we need more fanart in general

I agree there is just something off about her in game face and I have nothing against her type (warrior type of woman)
I was actually looking forward to romancing her since it would be something new in DA
but sadly she got ugly

Her facial features are very sharp. Like a razor blade. That could give off the impression of 'masculine' to some. In the end different people will have different opinions. That doesn't mean they're necessarily 'wrong'.

You only saw few pics of hers, it also may depend on the angle. Just wait until the game comes out to see more of her.

Maybe I'll get concerned if they start talking about her bench pressing cows or winning an arm wrestle with Iron Bull.
But I think it would be kinda dull if every girl was super girly.

I'm mainly glad there's a varitey of LI's more than anything unlike the male li's in DAII which was mr. broody vs mr. broody.

From a left angle, she looks angry. From a right angle, she looks dreamy. From an upward angle, she looks tasty. ![]()

Well Josephine is the only real "Girly" LI (IMO) Sera feels like a Isabella/Merrill hybrid to me.
Cassandra doesnt fit the girly stereotype she is a whole diffrent kinda LI we havent had a Female Warrior Romance so we will have to see I just hope I will eventually like Cassandra as much as I love Aveline.

I think she's kind of a Perfect Storm of unnapealing. Not traditionally feminine, so that turns off the group concerned with appearance. A Hard-ass/Ice Queen, which turns off the crowd that wants "the Betty", Pro-Chantry, which turns off the would-be Tevinter Magister/Dalish imperialists/ generally anti-religion crowd.
All I know is the more her fans spin fantasies about Tsundere kiss-kiss-slap Romance scenarios, the more I am convinced I will never find her appealing.
...I hope Josephine is cool. And I hope her being a NPC who you can't take with you doesn't suck as much as I think it will.

We can have different opinions without being offensive. Cassandra is not appealing to some, that is fine, the rest is bs.

I love how OP is casual about his blatant misogny. Look, I'm a straight guy; I like pretty, feminine girls too. But, there is nothing wrong with a woman who carries herself with less femininty. Also, whose to say a short hair cut and a gruff exterior automatically excludes one from being feminine? Aveline was a great character and I was actually bummed she wasn't romancable.

In DA2, I'd rather romance Aveline and Varric than the four actually given to us.
This on so many levels

Her face structure appears to be quite similar to Angelina Jolie's, especially the jawline. I think that her jaw is emphasized a bit in the bio shot we have of her, but I believe that in-game it will present a little differently. Also, I don't think people are really taking into consideration how much a personality can enhance or detract from a person's attractiveness. If the hottest guy at the club turns out to be super douchey, he starts looking a lot less attractive real quick.

I don't agree with OP but what he said wasn't misogynistic. That word needs to stop being a catch-all term.
