Morrigan. How original, I know. :P Her commentary just reached a point where I thought to myself "Look, I know you hate me being nice and helpful. Disapprove if you want. I don't care. Just please shut up."

I could take it when anyone else expressed disagreement; even lecturing ol' Wynne. Morrigan simply reached a point where I couldn't take her seriously anymore and gave her a permanent home in camp.

Can I put Deep Stalkers on this list? Ok, they don't actually *talk* but I found their spawning in out of nowhere annoying. Talk about poor level design...

If I had to pick an actual NPC it would probably be Vartag Gavorn. His not so subtle posturing about Bhelen got annoying fast. He was such a lame wannabe shady muffin type that I wondered how someone so idiotic could be the Second of a dwarf as sly and collected as Bhelen. I wish there was an option to kill this guy even if I did side with his boss. Bleh.

This guy.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned him yet. He is so condescending to the PC; it doesn't matter if the PC is human, elf, or dwarf. I was seriously hoping for an option to slice him in half like Vartag did to his buddy. Alas, the worst I could do was steal his friggin' awesome crossbow.

I think the most irritating character in the game for me would probably have to be the merchant Gorim in Denerim market, for the reason that you go anywhere near his stall and he reels off the speel about his wares, and constantly the same one. Ended up going around the long way every time I went to the market just to bypass him, but even then sometimes it didn't work when trying to get to the Gnawed Noble Tavern, argh!

1. Isolde - Not only is she selfish and responsible for many deaths, she continues to do stupid things and favoring her son over everyone else. And she still has a 'tude toward everyone else. ****.

2.Ser Cauthrien - Urge to kill rising...

3. Arl Howe - Can't kill this man enough

4. Cammen - Quick, kill it before it breeds!

Ironically, I LIKE Anora when she isn't being a smug upper-class snot. Jowan as well. He may be dumb, but he didn't choose to be a mage stuck in a system where he has almost no freedom.

Probably Wynne or Leliana. Wynne is definately more obnoxious-annoying but Leliana also has her moments and I am sick of her as she is the only decent lockpicking npc so she gets used a lot more.

Wynne improves greatly with Zavren and Oghren in the party. Seriously, she acctually LIKES Oghern.

Loghain. A man who "kills" his best friend's son. Sorry, I can't sympathize with that.

Oh, sorry, he HAD a good reason. That was only to save his country! And doing it he almost destroyed everything he was supposed to care.

All those scenes with him bragging self-righteusnessly about how he's been right and perfect in everything he did almost made me puke while I dreamt with the moment in which I could behead him swiftly. (thanks for the opportunity LOL)

Jowan - Throughout the course of the campaign (especially when playing through as a mage) they constantly try to make you sympathize with him even if you're given no reason to feel any sort of connection with him other than several quick lines after your harrowing. Being completely indifferent to a character while he's constantly shoved in your face asking you to "feel" for him. well the only feelings these stir up within me are annoyance and the urge to press the escape key to skip his endless prattle.

Isolde - Not nearly as bad as Jowan but did the voice actress really have to go that over-the-top with her screeching?

Cammen - Just a pathetic unlikable character.

Erlina - Another needlessly over-the-top accent.

Oghren - it's just a real turn-off every time he belches and farts his way into my game. To me, he's even worse than Wynne (and that really means something). And I really, really don't dig his sense of humor (maybe if I was a few years younger...).

you mean to tell me that even after you say that you are his executioner and he confesses that the reason he started blood magic is because he wanted to be as good of a mage as you; and even at the end he accepts all hes done, and still loves the Lily girl even though theres no hope of anything? im sorry but jown is one of the most complex and intruiging characters in the game bar none. All the same answers: let me put a few new ones in the open

I personnally dislike the crime wave questgiver since he keeps looking like he has a quest even though he hasn't (in the before landsmeet period)
Since I do his other quest early on usually I thus then see him 3/4 of the game standing there PRETENDING like he has a quest... and sometimes I forget and actually click on him too. For my dwarf noble it was worst (went to the market even more than others for the friendly moneymaker there (LOTS of money on the crimewave stuff by selling it to your old pall btw))

I dislike that lyrium dealer in the Circle tower too.

I dislike arl Howe (well I guess that was intended) and I've not even played human noble origin.

That whining templar annoys me too, the one near the end of the tower who wants to kill the mages.

The head of the guard in Orzammar when you enter the commons could use an execution too.

Obviously the same for the blacksmith in redcliff, and the tavernowner.

Swiftrunner or whatever the pirate werewolf... his accent won't save him from my wrath.

All the whiners for whom you have to cover-up dead bodies in that quest.

The beggar in the alienage.. thinking of it he might really go for one of the top spots.

The father of the woman with child in the Orzammar gutters.. Ok I always make him take her back but he's still deserving a daily whipping.

Bodan.. expensive crap merchant and abuser of the mentally challenged.

Ow and edit since I just read Old Tegrin in another post... a good choice.. for the same reason as mentioned

I'm going to have to go with Alistair for the most annoying. One minute he's all "oooooh Amell I wuv you, I agree with that descision." and the next he's all "Amell how could you do that?" He has his many funny moments, but his whiny-ness just drives me bat**** crazy. Also he's a elitist/racist bastard: "Oh, Cousland, of course let's get married and make babies!" "Oh Amell/Surana/Tabris/Mahariel/Brosca I can't be with you because you're a Grey Warden!" Lying bastard!

Oghren, simply because he is so repetitive. We get it already. You're a crude, drunk and pathetic dwarf with no personality outside of comments that are the equivalent of a 12 year old on Xbox Live/PSN/Ventrillo/<insert communication program here> proclaiming "That's what she said!"

On the next expansion, I hope to the Maker that they have him choke on his own vomit in an Orlesian tavern and thrown into a side ditch to be eaten by Darkspawn.

I don't actually mind Oghren that much, but it might be because of the first time I removed him from my party; he yelled "Thunder humper!" and it made me happy. Um. I don't like Isolde much, she's a rude **** and thinks she's abouve everyone. I also despise Zathrian, especially his ugly face tattoos.

I actually don't have a problem with Isolde. Admitedly she's a bit vexing when you first meet her, but other than that I completely sympathize with her situation. As a mother myself, I would happily watch the entire world burn if it meant protecting my child, so I don't take offense to her allowing things to get so out of hand. And I think the voice actress did a great job potraying her agony when she begs you not to kill her baby.

That said I'm going to vote for that blind **** Lohgain and Miss I-Know-Everything Wynne. I also vote for every single character in the dalish camp quest barring The Grand Oak Tree.

I didn't really find anyone particularly annoying, to be perfectly honest. The only character I could remotely compare to being annoying was Duncan in the city elf origin--but that was more fun than anything. His refusal to leave and how casually he was saying it reallllly got under my skin xD

What I find absolutely and horribly annoying are actually many of the PC characters out there and the custom head morphs people make; the closest in-game example I can think of is Petra. EYES SHOULD NOT BE THE SIZE OF BASEBALLS. After drawing portraits ever since secondary school I have wanted to gouge my own eyes out every time I see that blunder.

EDIT: OOOOHH that chantry **** at ostagar. "Begone, heathen!" Dude! I play as a Dalish elf! You do realize that after we joined you in the march against the tevinter imperium you turned your backs on us, left us out of your history, and tried to wipe us out and force us into slavery, all while shoving your goddamn Maker down our throats?
I hope she was gnawed up by a Hurlock.

I really do not have characters i find annoying, more like genetic floaters at the shallow end of the gene pool. So here is my list of genetic floaters who should be skimmed from the gene pool ASAP for no other reason than to prevent thier stupidity from being reintroduced. These are the types of people who are the reason you have to wear a helmet when you ride a bike and cups of coffee have to carry a warning "Caution Contents May Be Hot".

Jowan how could you even think that you and Lily had a chance. The love is strictly prohibited and yet you some how figure it will turn out ok. Then on top of it all i either have to risk punishment for assisting you or i have to betray you, thanks alot dick for getting me in the middle of all this. I am not really sure what happens to you, do they kill you or make you tranquil, it does not matter over all your stupidity was checked.

Isolde the typical arrogance of because i am a noble woman i know best. I want to protect my son even at the cost of hundreds of other people. The OMG my son is a mage and my overwhelming belief in an archaic superstition supercedes my common sense.

Calain the pretty boy king, the way he postures for Duncan to stand next to him as he waves his head to settle his hair, i would call him GAY but that would be offensive to gay people. The glorious Grey Wardens at my side as we face the blight, you can tell he is already composing the tales to tell at court to make the ladies swoon. Popped like a ketchup packet on the side walk that was fricken great the last thing to go through is mind, his chest cavity.

Cullen the moron, i mean seriously your in a tower of sex starved females who's only choices are Jowan the mouth breather or Owain and when the vage is waved in your face you go running off like a scared little boy to pump a quick one out. I will say that being the last surviving templar that has not been broken yet is impressive, but i really think it is because your too stupid to break. Fortunatly your a templar and not allowed to reproduce so i will call this a win for the NS side.

Camen who if not for the communal mindset of the Dailish (i always thought of the dalish as DA;O's Hippies) would have wandered off into the woods to appear on the Natural Selection menu as the special of the day. Regardless of how you play it, the fem warden who treats him to that which he will never see again, or the male warden who tags his chick and then leaves him to raise your littter, (how is your wife and my kid?) both are equally evil for different reasons and in either case Ghenna (think that is her name) will have nothing to do with him afterwards. Ghenna as probably the only woman in the clan who would even consider reproduction with him and by either path taken by the player pretty much prevents his reproduction of stupidity i call this a win for the NS side just barely though.

Oghren makes this list because fat drunk and stupid is no way to go through life. Branka switched teams, Felsi tossed you to the curb with Awakenings twice, but it is not his fault entirely. Branka as we know was fricken crazy, and Felsi was just the poster child for "it takes 2 to be co-dependant". This is a loss for the good guys but not a total loss as we see in Awakenings Oghren managed to stay sober long enough to actually knock up Felsi, but she will raise the child away from Oghren's example so the child may have a 50% chance of avoiding the pool skimmer of life.

Sandal (before you folks take up the google search to find me just ask the Tali fans in the ME forums they have already T-Pd my house twice) is a useful character and it seems unlikely that the thought will even enter his mind so it is a win for the good guys. Besides every time i see him i get "ding fries are done" flash backs.
Natural selection 1

I could go on with Bevin, the little girl in Honleigh (kitty's friend), Connor, but i have probably been insulting enough today, and i am pretty sure i have reached my quota. I wrote this to be funny so if you got offended just add your name under Sandals, reason getting offended and if you have children mark it a loss for the good guys, score it honestly :).
