What I find absolutely and horribly annoying are actually many of the PC characters out there and the custom head morphs people make; the closest in-game example I can think of is Petra. EYES SHOULD NOT BE THE SIZE OF BASEBALLS. After drawing portraits ever since secondary school I have wanted to gouge my own eyes out every time I see that blunder.
<= You mean eyes like these?
Oh yes! Terribly annoying! The pain of it! And you should hear the noises they make, too... *PLINK, PLINK*
[Note to self: must be realistic and do the eyes the way they SHOULD be done next time, lest anyone else should feel offended.]
But back on topic.
I remembered someone else I absolutely loathe: Anora's maidservant. Don't remember her name (must have blocked it out), but the way she clings to me and urges me to free that viper of a mistress of hers... Every time she opens her mouth I could just aaaaaaaarrrrrrgh..............

I actually don't have a problem with Isolde. Admitedly she's a bit vexing when you first meet her, but other than that I completely sympathize with her situation. As a mother myself, I would happily watch the entire world burn if it meant protecting my child, so I don't take offense to her allowing things to get so out of hand. And I think the voice actress did a great job potraying her agony when she begs you not to kill her baby.
That said I'm going to vote for that blind **** Lohgain and Miss I-Know-Everything Wynne. I also vote for every single character in the dalish camp quest barring The Grand Oak Tree.
To protect my child, yes. But he wasn't going to be killed or anything - he was going to be sent to the tower. Granted, there was a mild possibility he would be made tranquil, but being tranquil versus being possessed by a demon who kills your husband and everyone you've ever known? No I think not. Plus which she does all that crap to save Connor while at the same time made Alistair's life a living hell and forced his foster father to abandon him because he *might* have possibly been Eamon's bastard. You take your rage out on an innocent just because your husband might have had sex with someone else BEFORE you even MET him??? No empathy for others at all. Totally and utterly gets killed in my next play through.

Islode is worse than Loghain, IMO. She wasn't off making stratigic desions and never having to see the results of her choices directly. I would fear a sequel where Conner was killed, the Earl is dead, and Isolde runs things.

I'm also not very fond of Alistair (whiny, whiny/ ok sometimes I can forgive him, he's a good tank), Jowan (whiny, whiny/ I don't feel he's my real friend while playing a mage), Branka (annnoying), Zathrian (annoying)

Alistair (...) Playing pre-Landsmeet to me is like a nightmare with him around. I would rather have ten Jowans in my party than Alistair.
Yes. THIS. Although I adore Jowan so yes, I would rather have 10 Jowans in my party than everyone. Except Sten and Zev.
Alistair definitely one of the most irritating, whiny, hypocritical characters in the game. I hate his double standards and constant need for attention; the roundabout way he introduces himself to Teagan and Isolde because he wants THEM to acknowledge HIM and the stupid comments he constantly makes about his nearly-Templar PAST whether you're speaking to him/they're relevant or not. Almost every time he opens his mouth he's got some self pitying or whiny garbage spewing out of there. And he'll constantly avoid answering questions but if you take this to mean he doesn't want to answer (and say something like "if you don't want to answer, just say so" <-- a totally REASONABLE and CONSIDERATE response to someone who is deflecting questions) he doesn't say "no, it's OK" or "thanks" he SULKS.
He also ****es if you don't want to talk to him about Duncan and why he's STILL crying about it, though he'll never show any compassion for you (this is a technical thing, I'm sure but it's still annoying XD). And he says some really rude, insensitive things in the Alienage that are just WTF if you're a CE.
Jowan has a whiny voice, and I think had he been given a more masculine VA I'm sure he wouldn't be half as irritating to a lot of people as he is. But Alistair is far bigger a self pitying, self obsessed whinger than Jowan IMO. I can't see Jowan crying about a torn shirt or an itchy wound. Even Jowan refrains from persistently bringing up his past when you're speaking to him (or worse - when you're NOT speaking to him!). He also is never around to whine for attention at every given opportunity. At least Jowan only talks about things relevant to the situation, and he knows what he's done - he never tries to blame anyone else and accepts his responsibility. He never tries to walk away from it ¬¬
Apart from Alistair... there's that stupid Chantry cow at Ostagar who craps her pants at you if you don't believe in the Maker - calling you 'heathen' and saying something about how it's shameful the GWs accept "people like you". Never mind where you're from, you're not entitled to your own beliefs or anything. And that stupid one who yells at Uldred "we won't trust any lives to your spells, mage" -- uh huh, but I bet you'll be first in line for healing magic, won't you, you stupid old tramp?
Oh, and Cammen with his stupid melted-candle face "I can't be a hunter DDDDDDDDDDD: Gheyna won't marry me DDDDDDDD: I CANNNNNNNNNNNNN'T1!111!!! I've tried! I've really tried! But for some reason sitting around camp whinging doesn't make me a better hunter DDDDDDDDDDD:" Ugh. I won't LET Gheyna marry you - nobody deserves that fate, I don't care if you give me 20,000 sovereigns I'm not doing it!
There are so many annoying characters in this game, sometimes I wonder how I can possibly like it so much XD

I know. Alistair always whines. And when you spare Loghain he doesn't even give you a chance to explain, even if he's already confessed his undying love for you and how much he wants to be with you. And you're right. He whines, and he whines, and he whines, and he whines some more. And then when you decide to kill Connor he's like "as much as it pains me to say this, it may be the only way." Then you're back at camp and he's like: "how could you kill Connor?! We should have tried something else! Wahhhhhh, I'm going to go sulk at the other end of camp!" I also found whining about his birthright annoying. It's like: buck-up and be a man! Personally I think Zevran should have been king: everyone's happy, orgies abound. It's all good.

This is what turned me off and made my eye twitch. Just... dude. You were the one who suggested killing the child... then you don't kill Connor and you let Jowan do the ritual and he doesn't like that, even though you didn't kill a poor innocent child blablabla Alistair.
He says he slept in stables when he lived with the Arl anyway... then Eamon just dumps him out on his ass on the say so of Isolde. What, exactly, does Alistair owe him?

It's not so much the voice-acting, it's the face. If the face was designed differently, you might have some pity for him.
I remember playing and thinking to myself, "Dude you can't get Gheyna because you look like that!"
And then I was shocked when I pushed some dialogue option and Gheyna actually goes with him and they walk off in their fairy land.
And I laughed when I chose the sinister option and Gheyna slaps him across his ugly face.
If it wasn't for the toolset and the option to change Cammen's face, I'm not sure what I would do.
Thankfully, mods do make "annoying" characters...less annoying...or even tolerable..and in some rare cases..likable.

There should have been a 'run her through' option when Isolde got in
your way. I hate her so much. The way she speaks, the whining. Yes I
understand her son is possessed, it's his own fault. Stop ****ing at
everyone and making excuses. I hope some darkspawn cut her to pieces.
rofl yup, I know he's a child but if you come across something you know is called a "DEMON" you'd think he'd have been a bit more careful XD Isolde deserves to die every time. If I'm not a mage, I let Jowan out to help and sacrifice her.

All he needed to do was hold down the tab key and it would've been obvious, "I can't solo a yellow yet".Huojin wrote...

Anyway, almost all the orlesian women in the game irritate me, it's such an exaggerated accent they put on, it's only Leliana and the woman in the Denerim market who I don't make me violent when I hear them. Appart from them... Well, it's quite a list, but how could anyone but Cammen be at the top, whiny little git.

Also, Flemeth and Alistair between them at the beginning. And my PCs, in the same scene, for not being able to say: 'So long and thanks for all the fish. Good luck with the Blight, Alistair. Byeee.'
