I am stuck between picking a male dwarf warrior(reaver), who is a pragmatist to stopping the Elder One, helping his kin, and making some profit along the way
. Looking to make his Inquisition as strong as possible, not letting any morals get in the way besides for when it's related to the wellfare of the dwarves. He would have a have a attitude mixed between Bheleln's ruthlessness and Varric's sarcasm. Or a human mage, either knight enchanter because it reminds me of Arcane Warrior which was my favorite class or Rift Specialist for the story proposes. He'll do anything to see the Templar threat ended, but also knows mages need to be kept in check for fear of the power they wield(Aiming for a reform of the circle if possible). He'd be a straight forward, no bullshit type of guy. Trying to make the world see that mages can be trusted to do good so no questionable choices involving magic. I will play both of them as my first 2 playthroughs, but which one sounds like a more enjoyable first playthrough?

And could we possibly see Shale? I didn't read the books, but I was under the impression that she is still alive.

Shale may show up as she's mentioned in the Keep.
My first playthrough will be a Lawful Good Human Male Andrastrian Mage.
However, one suffering PTSD from the Mage-Templar War.
Lots of regrets over the deaths.
He'll romance Cassandra as he's adorably quirky.

At the end of Asunder she was still alive. As such we might see her in DAI. Guess we'll find out when the game comes out
As for my first playthrough I'll play as a Dalish mage, probably a Rift Mage. Probably a True Neutral if had to guess. But my character tend to change once I play them, as such he'll most likely change during the game. Not sure how though

Out of those two, I would go with the dwarven reaver... a ruthless, sarcastic pragmatist sounds like a fun character and fits well with the Carta background. As an added bonus, he's completely amoral so you are free to do whatever sounds good at the time. The mage seems a bit too rigid... I'd save that for the second playthrough.

He will find romance with the lovely and strong Cassandra, and a good friend in Cullen, Leliana, Josephine and Blackwall.

I'm pretty sure Shale is confirmed to not be in DAI. Also not all decisions made in the Keep will impact DAI but could impact future games.

What about making her a dwarf again? Did she and wynn gain any knowledge about if this is possible or not?

First playthroughs are going to be extremists. Dwarf rogue female who wants to see justice done no matter what the cost to herself, and qunari mage male who's pulled along by events and is making the best of a bad situation.

Vote for dwarf because dwarves. And also that sounds like a very fun playthrough because its very focused and purposeful in the roleplaying scope.

Yeah I was replaying DAO the other day and completed the orzammer portion of the game and it just kind of came to me. Since you'll be in a leadership position, I can have bhelen's approach to leading( which in my opinion is the best form of leadership) combined with varrics attitude and the carta's mindset for being an orgonazation always trying to stay on top, wealth and powerwise.

For OP- It doesn't seem like too many people would choose a Dwarven Reaver as their first playthrough, so I'm inclined to suggest that for the sake of variety.
