For OP- It doesn't seem like too many people would choose a Dwarven Reaver as their first playthrough, so I'm inclined to suggest that for the sake of variety.

My first play through of DAO was with a dwarf commoner rogue and that'll be the one I'll import with the dwarf inquestior becuae it seems fitting. I pick reaver because as of right now it seems to be the best 2 handed warrior spec considering we no longer have berseker

Tal-Vashoth Mage caught up in a conflict he barely understands and going along with it in the hopes he will eventually figure it all out. Eventually he'll acquire some certainty and grow into his role.

 

That's pretty much all I need as a starting point without knowing the whole story.

I'll go with a mage first (cos I like them) and almost certainly human female giving me a mage trio following Ms Amell and her cousin Ms Hawke

Well, since I don't know all the specializations yet, my decision isn't written in stone. My usual practice is starting with a warrior, then rogue and finally mage.
