Back in DA 2 all the companions have a unique skill tree that is only available to them. eg. Varric: Marksman, Isabela: Swashbuckler, Anders: Venegeance, etc. Anybody knows if those will be returning in DA I or will it be like DA O where we choose their specialization. Also feel free to share your thoughts on what specialization you want for each of the companion.

It's my assumption that it'll be like DA: O where the companions all have set specializations; i.e. Vivienne: Knight Enchanter, Dorian: Necromancer, Solas: Rift Mage. However, and I can't find a link, I believe that the devs said that we can reset their skill trees if we want too. Not too sure about that but, oh well. Aside from that, I also believe that the Inquisitor will only be able to choose one of the specializations that are available to their class; i.e. KE, Necromancer, RM for mages; Tempest, Artificer, Assassin for rogues, etc. I think whoever specializes in whichever class you chose will teach you, similar to how it was in DA: O.

Just my thoughts anyway.

Companions don't teach you specializations. You unlock them through quests.

Companions and advisors will not teach specializations I believe, from what I've read there's some sort of quest associated with each specialization. I'm not sure whether these are integrated in the main story like some of DA:O's were or whether they're side quests that pop up once you reach level 7.

Oh whoops. Okay then, never mind. Ignore me; it's late and I'm tired.

If that's the case, they should make more than 3 specialization, because we have each of the three warriors, rogues and mages as companions

well yea specializations are only available to hawke in DA 2 because all the other companions have their own unique 'specialization' that hawke can't learn. ie. in origins you can be a berserker even though oghren is also a berserker, he teaches you how to be a berserker, but that doesn't happen in DA 2
