We can pay the Dalish in halla pelts. Luxurious!

Something tells me they might not take that the right way.

*Totally cool with that though*

Yip, now if it was about city eves I would support all my might, because they deserve it.

You're right we should help the city elves. I have this lovely place for them up in the North, I'm sure they'll love it!

Hmmm. Truth be told, I think the Inquisition could do a lot for the purposes of, somewhere, securing an actual homeland for the elves... I suppose we'll have to see, but now would be a rather good time for it, what with all the turmoil going on and the status quo being shaken up.

But the Dalish don't even operate on the same economy as the humans. I'm not completely sure how this'll help.

Well, this is an offer that extents to any able-bodied who realizes the power of dosh, not just Dalish. If they recognize the opportunity, they'll be able to help themselves in ways that were quite impossible before.

I guess this depends on how much power the Inquisition has. I'm skeptical that this organization would have the power to establish a homeland for any race in particular, be it elves, or superintelligent nugs.

Hmmm. Unorthodox, but I suppose it could work if handled properly. At least my own Inquisitor's race would likely give her leverage.

Not establish singlehandedly, but to set things in motion to ensure that it's possible.

The only real question that matters is this. Which serves Chaos more? A human mage or elven mage? That is where I am stuck at.
P. S. Death to the False Emperor!

My god. We could rule all of Thedas by threatening to tear the Veil at any time. As we are the only one who can close them... Rift mage hear I come.
Bow before your new god and be spared.

As long as we can skip the part with becoming demonicly possesed, I'm all in for this

"The Herald of Andraste, the powerfull dalish demon summoner...wait a second! "

On the topic of this thread however, I must say, I have always been a fan of the elves, ever since DAO. They have an intresting place in the world, and with the Dalish perhaps taking a bigger role in Inq, I must say, I am quite hyped.

Even if the Inquisition isn't able to establish a "homeland" per se, I would like to see their status elevated enough that they at least have a say in what happens to their own people.

Btw I havent looked at the first of thus thread and all this pages but, I have a question, what race in Real life you see that remainds you of Elves.

To me Elves looks like a combanation of the Jewish pepole and Indians.  If you see the jewish history you'll see it is very alike, 2 homelands lost (2 holy tempales) the second one by a chaotic rebellion against rome with a lot of hate, (The Dales) Alienages (Medival style Ghettos) if an Elf is having a child with other race the child wont be an elf, in jewish lore if me (A jewish male person) will go and do a child with a chrisitian female, my children wont be jewish.   Indian Style: As historians in Thedas accept is that the humans came to thedas from the north and have settled there while the elves have been there first, they were first friends but then the war have started, and the humans have takes over Americ-Thedas... Many pepole claim that Thedas is eroupe, but I don't think it is EROUPE, I think it is a combination of all over the world, it was confirmed the dwarves are like the mayan pepole who were in america, it was also confirmed that the elves are like the jewish pepole, but everyone with he's or her's opinnion, I actually adore the idea elves are jewish, I am a jew, and my favorite race in DA are elves, not just in DA in every fantasy game :)

Agreed. In fact, I think this song works rather well for the elves overall, though it's something of a future hope.

I know what you meant, but why does the elf have to be Dalish for you to identify with it. I'm curious.

What's wrong with that? Also City Elves can still agree with the Dalish mantra in DA:O.

Just my thoughts on the elven situation:

For the Dalish, I admire their desire to recapture their lost history, but question the lengths to which they will go to uncover it. Summoning a Forbidden One was not a good idea, and now as a result, we have an extremely powerful upper level demon running around Thedas unchecked.

Also, for some of the Dalish, I find it very irritating how easily they can dismiss their City elf brethren and treat them like crap.

I'm much more in line with the City elves, cause for a lot of them, they are treated like crap, day in and day out, and most of them keep on trucking despite the adversity.

Yep, got to admire their resilience.
