I'm postjudice, the dalish foul behaviors turned me against them.

An elven land huh?
I give it a week before the thieves guild, merchants guild, carta, crows, and mercenary guilds all seize control of various parts of this new land, and install their own puppet leaders to run that ****.
They got the capital, they got the connections, and they got the know how to turn it into the biggest black market failed state in all of history.
Not really. There's a very good chance it'll break into in fighting first.

Sounds a lot like you're judging all Dalish by the actions of a few every clan we've ever meet. Is that fair? I don't think it is.

How do you think those guys get their in? Elves fight amongst themselves, innocents get in the way, and in comes the outsiders((with their elf members at the forefront of course" to swoop in and stick up for the most numerous demographic of this new state, the common city elf. They'll set up shop and start fighting off the local elves looking to gain power, do some guard work, win hearts and minds while spouting out how they'll keep the normal people safe and sound.
And before you know it the theives guild is murdering folks in the street and the cartas slinging lyrium like its going out of style, to the thunderous applause of their newly made suckers.

Do you resign this thread to Chaos?

If the thread is locked then surely it would be resigned to the Void Dragon or something? Leaving it open would be resigning it to Chaos.

We can always conjure a Warpstorm!
We can always conjure a Warpstorm!
Not enough blood, sickness, intelligence, or dubstep for that.

No no no we'll let the Dalish summon another forbidden one and THAT will summon the warpstorm.
Or they'll have an issue with werewolves... or commit suicide by Hawke.... or forget to breathe.....
Of course once they're all dead we can have a hearty laugh and then get to work on helping the City Elves.

In Divinity: Dragon Commander I was able to use elven remains to help in the production of gunpowder. Lets hope the Dalish can finally be of at least some use to thedas and have me do the same thing to their remains.
Otherwise their corpses could be used for orgnaic matter to help the Orlesian nobles plant some new hunting forests, that'd be nice =)
Then we can finally say they contributed to thedas somehow

We could also use the finest looking dalish women as concubines for human and CE auxiliary officers in the inevitable war against the oxmen.

Well according to Last Flight the elves are more beautiful than humans so the soldiers would certainly appreciate it.
I approve this
If we're ever down financially we can sell some to Tevinter to be blood sacrifices for the Imperial soldiers fighting the Oxmen
I guess I should say something to support elven kind.
Zevran tossing that dagger in the Crow's eye was pretty great.

Fate of every elven thread ever. It's always the same posters too. I've discovered that the judicious use of the ignore list works wonders in keeping the threads looking sane.
the Rivaini city of Llomerryn is known to have a semi-permanent Dalish encampment on its outskirts, and trade with the elves for their crafts is encouraged.
The bit about Rivain seems to have been retconned by Isabelas banter to Merrill in DA2.

I managed to dig something interesting said by David Gaider in old forums Archived by wiki. The Dalish have the Gathering every 10 years, where all the clans are supposed to gather and the Keepers of each clan share their knowledge with each other. This is also where Dalish-wide issues are dealt with, and ideally the Gathering is supposed to keep the Dalish roughly in step with each other. In practice, though each clan tends to go the way that its Keeper dictates. Some clans are very militant, almost xenophobic. Some are little more than bandits in whatever wilderness they've staked out (this is often the case in Tevinter, for instance). Some are quite benevolent and live in peace with nearby humans -- the Rivaini city of Llomerryn is known to have a semi-permanent Dalish encampment on its outskirts, and trade with the elves for their crafts is encouraged.
I want to watch an Arlathvhen in-game, although I think it won't happen in DA:I. What a pity (I would be very happy if I'm wrong, though).
Of course, let's not idealize the Arlathvhens either. As far as we know, they look more like big family reunions than international congresses. As Zathrian's codex entry pointed out:
"In Arlathvhen, it is common for all the hahren to hold a private council while their respective clans are still settling in. These meetings inevitably last well into the next day and end with furious shouting, such that many say that the true reason the clans all go their separate ways is that no two hahren can stand each other."
I remember that banter but I don't know, Gaider specifically mentions the outskirts of Rivain, pretty far from where humans live and Isabela is right Llomerryn is no place for Dalish and she means the city not all of Rivain.
Well, the famous link about the Dalish encampment does mention specifically Llomerryn. What I always found shocking, since it's a freaking island. I always thought that it was a mistake and he wanted to say Dairsmuid, the capital city of Rivain.

No. This thread is ours.
I was under the impression that everyone's opinion mattered. My mistake.
Of course. But where were you when certain members were quoting each other over and over, the literally filled two pages. That's not "opinion" that's plain sight trolling in an "adult forum" which even makes it sadder.I was under the impression that everyone's opinion mattered. My mistake.
