They are actually there. You just can't see them in this shot. Elves have tattoos.

Yep. You will see it on the final game. If you look very closely at the hairline right above his ear you can see where they are

Oh my goodness! It's going to be hard not to play as a male elf Inquisitor on the first go! Must resist...

Edit: Also, now that I think about it, I'm getting a little worried that there won't be any legit curly hair options. :'(

Personally, I am loving that female elf. She is gorgeous and I adore those freckles. I never could make a satisfying elf in Origins. Something about their tiny little mouths and sunken eyes. I also love that hair. Good stuff.

Don't know why we would need screenshots of the humans, they won't look drastically different from the companions we've seen.

 

Where is the male's Vallasin though ? Thought it was impossible to go with a tattoo.

I like the freckles, they add loads of character and really accentuate the hair/tattoo.  The female looks WAAAAY better than the male, who himself is no slouch.

Hm, alright then. Glad to see they can be made to pretty much not be there at all I suppose.

One thing that kind of stood out to me about the Masked Empire is that the description of elves in that book is that they still had the big eyes of DA 2. I guess that was written before the reredesign.

I prefer this to be honest, this is the first time I've liked the way they looked. As long as they still have slender builds I'm happy.

Maker's breath, those freckles are gorgeous! I've wanted a character with freckles ever since I first saw Aveline in DAII, now it looks like my wish has been granted.

That would be nice, but they've always looked a little 'Uncanny Valley' to me. Except for a few exceptions.

 

I suppose I should comment in the PC's though. The female looks good, little bit too much on the freckles in my opinion though.

 

The male just reminds me of the really shy hunter from the Dalish clan in Nature of the Beast.
