not a fan, but maybe they look better in game.
Care to elaborate on what you don't like ?

Oh great. I was quite happy not wanting to play an elf, as it made chosing my inquisitors' races easier. Now though, I think I'm in love with that girl. Those freckles ![]()
As far as Ryan said, it's near the ears. And i think Kallen pointed this out before Ryan tweeted about the tattoo's location.
To be clear, I don't see it either, but I'm using my phone.
Correct, though technically Ryan said it first. I didn't see the tweet until after I pointed out where.

the hair looks like a pile of threads, the males skin looks hmm plastic? But they are just close enough to throw them firmly into the uncanny valley, like those creepy Japanese robot's that mimic human hair and faces while being just slightly off.

Moving with something to distract from it, I'm sure it will work better for me. Oblivion and FO3 had the same effect, but looked fine with things going on.
I like the detail of the faces (although the male looks kind of bland, wish they made him a bit gritty to see how the engine handles it). I dislike both faces though and the hair suck.
Nice! I'm very much looking forward to seeing the CC, even though getting anything to come out properly on it without mods for me is an exercise in hair splitting frustration. I'll be doing three elf playthroughs (2 f and 1 m) and so far what we've seen has me excited. I wish the hair texture quality were a bit better though.
That male elf looks like a grown-up Cammen, from the Dalish Camp in the Brecilian Forest.
We asked for freckles and Bioware gave them.
Looks good. I like the freckles; they keep giving us options that really make a character unique (Like the tooth gap elf) and overall I'm really enjoying the CC so far (Lack of long hair doesn't bother me)
One thing I'm not crazy about is the dude elf's eyebrows. They look dark, and drawn on. Much darker than his actual hair. I just ran to the mirror, we've got the exact same haircut and I have eyebrows too; They're the same colour.
This worries me because the other picture of a male human had the same eyebrows and they looked off too. I hope they brighten them a bit or atleast try to improve them in some way.

Yeah very similar.
I cannot wait for a character creator demo. I'm so intrigued by the options and I really, really want to see a male qunari and female dwarf. Please Bioware! Make it happen!
The characters look so amazing. I'm incredibly pleased with this feature!
Pretty sure BioWare said the only CCing would be in the game itself.
Would be an interesting plot twist if your Keeper was Lanaya...
And Cammen was originally your colleague for the mission.
Me:
Warrior first, supermodel never.
BSN:
Supermodel first, warrior somewhere down the line. Nonexistent, basically.

I want to get in bed with the male and sculpt a statue of the lady.
Simultaneously?
The elf looks amazing btw.
Freckles, I am so in love with those freckles ![]()
I like the new look of the elves, but then I liked the old look of the elves, and the look before that. I'm pretty easy to please.
yay, this i can work with. im super happy they went back to the original design, i want to make a beautiful elf. I dont understand why people are obsessed over the elves looking stereotypically elven but say nothing of the stereotypical dwarves in the game. Why is it soooo important that the *elves* look different from what they as a race have mostly been described as? The redesign in da2 looked nothing like an elf imo, to me it looked like a cross between a goat and a goblin. I dont mind the design of the qunari because its an original race created by bioware, but if you are going to use certain tropes for a race and describe what they look like in the first game, which is in fact small humans with pointy ears that are considered attractive, then why in heavens name go in and make them look nothing like the classic elf and nothing like the ones in the first game. Some of us who play elves are attached to the looks of our characters, and quite frankly i dont want to imagine what mine would look like according to da 2 design. See the elf im using as my avatar, i created her proportions using the toolset, she has large eyes, but there is beautifully placed large eyes and then there is da 2 large eyes, that are anything but beautifully placed.
The female elf looks gorgeous
And the freckles are amazing. I can't wait to get the game and create my own heroine ![]()
DA:I already has the best faces BioWare has ever created. Can't wait.

This was a problem with the Mass Effect series too, the darkest eyebrows looked drawn on with a marker. Whenever I made a shep with black hair I always bumped the eyebrows up one shade lighter and it looked much better. Hopefully the solution is this easy in DA:I ![]()
Those elves look awesome XD
The female elf looks lovely! I hope the fact she has freckles means that scars and other facial marks will be readily available. Not especially interested in freckles myself (possibly because I have them irl).
The male elf isn't bad, though I'm curious about what kind of hair options male Inquisitors will get. I also hope there are plenty of eyebrow options. Not really into the bushy look.
I like the elves , which is pretty cool because I'm going to play one .
I didn't mind the DA2 look , but I think the huge eyes and the face structure made it harder to create different looking elves , and the result for random npc wasn't all that great.
They were more cute in an anime way than beautiful when the style worked.
I'm probably going to try to create an elf with some DA2 features though , I liked their noses .
The only thing I'm not sold on is the new Vallaslin , a bit too discreet .
I see the hair is still bugged. Face structure is dayum good though
