Ugh, the guy looks like ass.  And that haircut.  UGH.  Here's hoping there's better hair options for elves in the game.

I don't think it's the worst PC I've ever seen. But the eyebrows not matching the haircut and being so bushy but patchy really bug me, haha.

In Origins, elves had the same hairstyles as humans. Elves might get a few unique ones this time around but I can already see them sharing many with the humans. Not a problem for me, I'm just glad the elves look less deformed this time around. Although that male elf looks terrible, it's because of his poor grooming and hairstyle.

That male elf needs to trim his bushy eyebrows and grow some Legolas style hair if he wants to pick up chicks at the club. Someone with the time needs to photoshop him with longer hair and trimmed eyebrows. Do it and you'll have all the likes BSN can afford.

buzzcuts in a game set in medieval fantasy just....doesn't work.

It was like that crap with Sam Worthington in The Clash of the Titans.  He had a freaking buzzcut the entire movie and looked ridiculous.

Well if it was growing out from an entire head shave would it not look like a buzzcut? They did have straight razors then, I believe?

The female one might look a bit on the human side but the male one ooooh   he looks like a elf to me.

Indeed they should, razors and scissors are quite old inventions, can't imagine Thedas not having them with their current level of tech. And to get multi-layered effects (like, thicker on top, thinner on the sides of the head), all you'd have to do is re-shave the parts you want shorter as they start to grow back, so they grow at different rates. It wouldn't be an easy style to maintain without electric razors, and you'd probably have to occasionally "reset" it by shaving everything off again, but it's certainly possible.

There's probably room to elvenize your character, Laidlaw's elf looked closer to DA2 than this one.

There are actually freckles in the game now? Good, good. Face piercings next and everything will be alright in this world.

Kill it with fire! Kill it before it lays eggs! This man is an abomination in eyes of the Maker and should be smiten with holy wrath!

Ok just kidding, he looks ok. That buzzcut is super cool. B)

Love the female elf. I just hope they get a Welsh or Irish voice actor to go with the face.

I can't remember did Bioware say there are 2 voices for each race or two voices for each gender?

There are. Neither of them are Welsh or Irish.

Each gender, I believe. Two American and Two British (Male/Female) voices.

Thanks for the reply

It is going to be odd a Dalish Elf with a British accent. I am used to Welsh and Northern Irish in DA2. Oh Well, can't have everything

I'm not sure what voice to go with for Dalish Inquisitors myself- American separates them from Andrastian nations (and was the accent for most DA:O Dalish) but may be too deep if it's also supposed to fit Qunari or Dwarven Inquisitors. Just have to test them out I suppose.

Exactly. I'm waiting until I get into the CC, but if the british sounds too posh for my qunari then I'll likely go American. We'll see, I'm sure all 4 voices will be grand.

I think I may have greatly underestimated just how long I am going to spend in the CC.

An English accent would fit with Welsh and Irish but an American one might make my elf stand out more, add to the outsider vibe...

I hope the CC provides voice samples because I'm struggling to make a decision.

They look less unique.

But whatever.

As long as more people like it.

The less I have to hear about things sucking.

...

Sucking...

hehehe

I'm disappointed in Bioware's acquiescence to the whining, but the quality of the character creator is promising.
