Well I'm not complaining either, DA2's elf look was too cartoonish imo.  I was just asking because Bioware stated that they intended to find a mixture of the Origins and DA2 look for Inquisition, but I guess they decided to scrap that and go back to the origins look.

It's there, just really faint - look very, very carefully next to his ear, along the cheekbone and forehead.

The male elf totally looks like that dalish guy from DA:O who couldn't get a girlfriend because he was a bad hunter. Cammen I think his name was.

 

Edit: Looked up a picture of Cammen and I take back what I said. Still, there is something about the DA:I elf that makes me think about him, maybe it's the eyes?

I like the addition of the freckles, scars (on Cass, for example; don't know if we'll have this option in CC), etc.  I find these additions much more appealing that the plasticky look of past games.  Sure, it can creep into the realm of the uncanny valley, but what are you going to do?  Whatever the case, I always appreciate more options.

Those are not elves, those are humans with pointy ears. Which is pity, really.

They had even lost that 'alien' non-human something in their eyes.

The male elf reminds me of the cousin of the city elf chosen in DA:O.  Same hairdo as Alistair.  The female elf looks great.  Don't care too much for the tattoos.  The freckles is a nice touch.  A lot of people, myself included, love freckles on a female.  The hair seems a bit off somehow.  It's not bad, just seems a lot less detailed than the rest of the head. 

 

Hopefully in game the hair styles will vary in how they look and match up well with what you choose for size and shape.

 

I do have to agree with earlier comments though.  They do look human with pointy ears.  Back to DA:O concepts.

Apparently it's because he made the pic brighter (or something like that) so it probably wont be as faint as that in the actual game.

More like 3 days.

If you count every time I have to redo everything cause the mouth looks weird when talking, or the cheekbones look wrong in a certain light. Or the jaw is just way too big any how did I not see that!? Or if I realise that none of the voices fit the face I made. 

Unless they have facecodes... In which case, yeah, 3 hours sounds about right.

I know those feels. Mine kept ending up with really chubby cheeks, looking like a hamster storing food. I was also never happy with the first hairstyle I picked.

 

I hate it when you think you've nailed it in the CC, then you excitedly get started and your character enters the scene...

 

As there is no Magic mirror in Inquisition, I may have to restart a few times if I don't get it right. This is too long of a game to stick it out with a character I'm not happy to stare at.

Love her freckles she is Adorable and I'm glad they added freckles...hopefully who I create in the CC won't look horrible when I start the game lol.

I am glad of it. Especially the eyes. In DAO, they were small and sunken. In DA2, they looked as though they should be nocturnal and hiding in trees.

It's all to personal taste, of course. I would just rather have something "neutral" than alien. Save that for sci-fi or TES.

I really wish they would have stopped tweaking the look of the elves. Everything in Inquisition looks gorgeous though, can't wait to make my elf!
