Saarebas aren't magically trained or educated at all.
They get plenty of training, as attack dogs.

Their fear of magic is probably a self-fulling prophecy, given their deployment of Saarebas and their insistence on maintaining ignorance.

Awakened Qunari Mage.

get it? cuz demons? ![]()
I do believe that's Satan.
Overwhelming force, infiltration, magic, poisons, throw a bale of hay into the water and watch them stampede over-board after it, there are plenty of ways around it.
Tevinter could have captured supply depots given half of Seheron isn't secured and shifting back and forth. Apart for that, there must have been supply depots established across Thedas during their invasion. Claiming they were all successfully defended, evacuated or destroyed is a push.
And yet, even after seeing cannons in actions no one thought of you know trying to refine the explosive process to produce similar effects. There's only one reason only the Qunari have gunpowder weapons and no one else does after the amount of time and exposure they've had, and its probably because the Devs didn't think of the implications of their timeline created.
1.To capture a ship of qunari? Infiltation mean sabotaging the ship, a row powered ship. Overwheling force leave the risk of the qunari just blowing up their own ship to not let anyone get the fomula.
2.Or you, know, what even gun power is disposed off at the time the depot about to fall. It would take one match.
3.Then you need to play dao:a to under stand. It was explained. The issue is power of these blast of the bomb commonly used in southern thedus. The only bomb that are equal to the power qunari bomb are made lyrium sand, which is very limit to find that and the ones made by mages are hard to find material. Look at the detail of the material Anders used to make his bomb. Qunari gun power is easier to made alot of, with southern thedus bomb it's a lot more difficult.
You want anime?
Look up toyko ghoul and aldnoah-zero.
You're skimping out on WAAAY too many shows. Where's the Free! Season 1 and 2? Zankyou no Terror? Samurai Champloo? Mirai Nikki, Persona 4 The Animation, Persona 4 Golden, Kill la Kill, BTOOM, Sword Art Online, etc, etc.

Hellsing Ultimate.
favorite series of all timeHellsing Ultimate.
Hellsing is great but it ain't on my favorites list. Just can't place it.
Me, personally, here it is in no certain order:
Free!
Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood and 2003
Ao no Exorcist
Chuunibyou(Gotta hand it to em, this is probably my favorite)
Yu Yu Hakusho
Sword Art Online
Samurai Champloo
ZnT and Tokyo Ghoul are sure to join the list really soon once I give em a spin.
Manga though, that's a different story. There are only two manga that I can say I truly love with my whole being:
The Lucifer and Biscuit Hammer
Beelzebub
Oh, and back on topic, I totally have to say that I'm actually kinda leaning towards making a Warrior Dwarf or Mage Elf my first run through. I'm still on board with Verae but I wanna be a Dwarf because Dwarf ladies in DA are pretty darn cute.

There's still the assumption that the incredibly weakened Thedas would be able to hold against the Qunari which isn't based on much, there is no longer the Circle so the chantry/nations outside Tevinter can no longer throw mages at the problem. Orlais is in a civil war, Fereldan has just experienced a blight, Nevarra is run by a crazy old man, Rivain still has heavy Qunari influences and would probably erupt into civil war, even if they didn't they don't follow the chant of light anyway and would not be drawn into an Exalted March. Tevinter tried and failed to hold on to Seheron and have failed to take it back in the ~90 years that the Qunari have held it.
This ontop of a breach in the Fade which looks to be in the middle of Fereldan and Orlais spewing forth mountains of demons, the return of Dragons destroying large chunks of the country side and that the creation of the Ben-Hassrath now mean that not only are the Qunari are not going in blind, they are going in very well informed.
This with Saar-Qamek meaning that if the Qunari are smart, they can no longer lose ground battles and now that mages are no longer in play its unlikely they would lose many naval battles.
The nations of Thedas barely won going in at full strength, why would they be able to win now?
common assumption my friend hell for all we know its over parvollen and seheronWhom has said the breaches are limited to Thedas not once has that been said
Whom has said the breaches are limited to Thedas not once has that been said
The same reason the qunari never hear of the blight.
Whom has said the breaches are limited to Thedas not once has that been said
You might be right, but from whats been said so far there is only one breach and it happened when the Mage-Templar peace treaty talks exploded. This happened in the Frostback Mountains.
Considering breaches are apparently opening up like Starbucks back in 2003 I strongly doubt they are a solely a problem for Thedas.
We are getting terms mixed up again, theres only one "breach", thats the very large hole we see in the trailer. This is causing tears in the veil all over the place, which we have seen in previous games (Witch hunt).

I wonder if any qunari actually look like they do in this early concept piece, almost like a separate breed of berserker qunari

I have always secretly hoped this. It's not what you see is what you get....there is so much mystery. I want to walk through the gates throw a nod to ole "sten" and look over to see something like this ready to tear the head off of anyone who doesn't belong.
Whole squads of elite masters and also what could only be described as a different breed of Qunaris all ready to lay waste to any opposition to the Qun. All hidden and complete mysteries no one knows about.
