This is what I plan for my male mage qunari. Additionally, he will also have no love for the chantry/circle/templar system that humans use and will be entirely anti-templar and pro-mage. I'm hoping there will be enough in game for him to grow as a character and not just strongly hate everything he opposes, helped by the fact he falls for Cass.

I thought about making a qunari anti-Chantry, but the background has your mercenary company hired as security at the peace conference (probably more likely by the Chantry than the mages or templars), so it seems a little hypocritical.

Sometimes people do work they don't always agree with either due to circumstances or their current inability to do something about it. Plus such conflict of interests for me is something I'd find interesting. Or it would indeed turn out to be hypocritical, but the character is not me so he doesn't need to live according to my rules. I like flawed characters and if this turns out to be one of his, I'm ok with it. Anyway it's not that set in stone, I don't think, that you can't come up with motivations for your inquisitor to be part of such a mercenary company or the job specifically.

I think there are a lot of ways to justify an anti-Chantry mercenary's previous involvement with the Chantry that aren't really hypocritical. Mercenary is the key word.

Maybe you just take any job that pays well and philosophy has nothing to do with it.

Maybe your employer had that mindset and you simply held your tongue and went along because it was your job.

Maybe you put on your best Zaeed face and say, 'Took a job for the Chantry once. No one else made it out alive. You could say our relationship is on the rocks.'

Lots of ways. I like having a mercenary background, it's not necessarily criminal like the Carta but it can be rather 'renegade.'

Nice to see someone else is planning a rogue, there are just not enough people who seem to want to!

Bulky meathead warriors are so passe, and I don't think Qunari males look good in robes.  Rogues are where it's at baby!

It's kind of hard for me to imagine a Qunari being stealthy and avoiding notice - all things considered - but other then that I think a Qunari rogue would be interesting and rather sexy. <3

Batman says hello.

True there are ways to justify it, it's just a consideration I was keeping in mind.

Yes it is kind of sad.   That's ok, we can see who our brothers and sisters are though.

Success is not for the chosen few, but for the few who choose it.  We will make it so.

As far as I'm concerned, the only two races who need support are dwarves and Kossith. An elven support thread? Y'all kiddin' me? Nothin' against elves, but they're literally in every medieval fantasy/modern fantasy work of art out there. That's fine and all, but they do get a tad boring. Same with humans. Also, looking at Bioware's romance options... I did the math on this once. It's up to like 12 humans, 6 elves, 1 Kossith, and 0 dwarves.

This aggression will not stand, man.

How do you sleep?

This mystery must be revealed in Inquisition.

I do not want to see the Inquisitor's giant horns clipping into the pillow when she wakes up from a nightmare or is sleeping with her LI or whatever.

Belly-down, I imagine.

Or maybe they just sleep standing up. Maybe that's what Sten was doing in his cage. :S

It's a qunari secret: they remove their horns before bed. They're actually just really big elves.

Sten is 'hornless' because the darkspawn stole them when his group was ambushed.

I find it a bit extreme that some people express such a passionate hate for that culture, even though we've only seen the military aspect of it?

If I hate one country's military, I don't automatically hate the people who live there and have that culture, especially if I have never met such a person, or have been in that country.

I'd find it awesome, actually, if we could go to some place in future games, that is inhabited by non-military qunari. Doesn't need to be Par Vollen (even though that's be totally so freaking awesome omfg), maybe just some small isle, or something...

It is supposed to be Tal-Vashoth support thread, not Qunari support thread.

We hate the Qun less for the military aspect of it and more for the very rigid, stone-like way it is enforced. All are Qunari, even if you don't know it yet and if you don't like it, we'll beat you until you submit. Kinda like old school, and some new school, Christians.

Oh, and the whole "Saarabas" thing they are so deep into. They make the Chantry seem like merciful beneficiaries in comparison.

Anywho, my female Tal Vashoth Rogue Verae Adaar is gonna make some heads roll with Cole, Iron Bull, and Sera/Solas by her side. No horns, a troublemaker, and a total mage fangirl. Go Kossith!

Completely agree with this. The origin states that 'your company' is employed as security, not you personally. A job is a job.

I doubt all those guys between the audience and stage at Download Festival are all hardened metal heads.
