*Ahem* while selective breeding in some circles is considered SA its partly consenting due to cultural pressures(thougth consent is very rare imo). Now in this hypothetical if a Qunari(race/follower) refused to breed with x partner they would be either forced or more likly killed or given qamek to create a mindless drone for x purpose. Now again this is speculation with little evidence. I get your joke but hey its friday lol

That's... a rather grim prospect, but I suppose it's something they have to address from time to time.  As far as I can tell, Qunari believe in and follow the Qun without question, and that extends to the breeding program.  If a Qunari refuses to follow any demand of the Qun, they are sent off to be re-educated.  If that fails, then they are no longer capable of fulfilling their purpose and will be made compliant by the use of qamek.  Afterward, they are sent off to plow fields or lift boxes so that their bodies won't go to waste... now... I have no idea if the Qunari would still want those genes, but... hm... I guess they might.  Maybe they would see the lack of mental toughness that led to the need to use qamek as a critical flaw, so that person would be left alone, but it's hard to say for sure...

Well, it's a grim question to ponder, but an interesting one... the Qunari waste nothing, but I'm not sure exactly how they feel about qamek zombies or how important compliance with the Qun is when determining which couples will be bred.  For example, if you ever need to be sent to re-education, does that go into your file and harm your chances for breeding later on?  Do they pair you with somebody who's not very impressive but is borderline acceptable as a Qunari?  I don't know if the comics ever went into this, but it wasn't really discussed in the games... what exactly determines who can breed?  Is it as simple as strong Qunari breeding with smart Qunari, or is there something more in-depth?  Although we will likely be able to ask Iron Bull a few general questions about the Qunari, something this specific might not be answered in DA:I.  If not, then we may find out in World of Thedas 2, since that is supposed to deal with the "northern lands."

I am a Qunari mage and I believe that freedom and discipline must be properly balanced. I believe that the Qun must change if it is ever to send a better message to all of Thedas. I don't see it as an alternative to Andrastianism and its flawed system that oppress mages.

A Tevinter magister commits their entire life to all things involving magic, from Lyrium to the Fade.

We know all we need to know of magic and know we do not need it. We will earn everything we have with work and skill.  We do not take the lazy and dangerous way. The Qun will light our path.

 

The Maker!?  where is he?  Tell him to show himself....prove his presence.  Tell him to submit too! While he still can!

 

We sit on our island because the Qun demands it and we will until the Qun demands we leave it.  I have ZERO doubt the Qun could defeat all of Tevinter and all of Thedas! If you're so sure that you can make us submit...if you want the saarebas come and get them.  Show your fire.  We stay because the Qun demands it.  You stay out of fear.

 

3 Juggernauts?  Do the weak ever fight for themselves?  Do you always need others to do your work.  Now you know what I mean when I called magic a crutch for the weak.  Why do you live?  Why do you choose to breathe KNOWING your people are so weak...so unworthy.....can you not do anything for yourselves?  Stand on your feet.
