One thing that always made me curious about the game and the Qunari....The Arishok looked stupid in the videos....I just look at him and im like...

 

 

the in game he looks nothing like that.  its mostly just how they did his face in the videos....in game he looks like a bad ass though.

I thought the Arishok looked pretty badass and cool in the Destiny trailer too. In fact, I remember kind of rooting for him because I remembered the Sacred Ashes Trailer from the first game I thought he'd be more easy fodder for the protagonist like in that trailer. Imagine my surprise when the underdogs started winning the fight against the player avatar at first.

Have you seen Dragon Age: Redemption?  The Mar of the Assassin tie-in movie?  We get a couple of live-action qunari, one a saarebas, and they're very...small.

I really really dont like the idea of being forced to wear war paint. Its forcing the player to take on a cultural tradition that we as the player may not want. Just a bad move in my opinion, hoping that the "hide the helm" option applies to this as well

Im also confused at how some designs look fairly human while others like the photos on the website seem to lean towards the DA2 style where their facial structure is clearly alien. Im hoping this effect is easily manipulated through the CC

Thank you for that clear up. But yea, im more disappointed that i cant create the appearance ive had in my head since qunari were announced as playable (arishok with a beard) so hopefully the beard options arent as deprived  

 

part of me thinks/hopes that they are going to fit a few more options in before launch assuming its a mechanical issue that they dont have many options

If you play around with the sliders enough, you can probably make a qunari that resembles the Arishok... the system looks really flexible.

I love the sheathed horns.  My female qunari's getting the spiked set, I don't know about the male yet. 

 

First I thought they were just really shiny.  Then I wondered how they get the sheathes on.     Maybe it's a mold and they put them on when they're young?

I think I'm going to stick to the white hair in a bun. As for the horns? I don't know, so many options. But I'm curious to see how the asymmetrical broken horns look on my completed character.

FYI, according to Mike, you can toggle the war paint off so if you don't want to see it, you can still get the effects
