i didnt see the character creator in the live stream, so i dont know what they showed in it, but im a little worried that female qunari aren't going to be the paragons of beauty i and many others had envisioned in our minds. i dont mind the dark gray skin color though i did think we'd also have lighter options based on the ones in DA2 and in the comics, but if the hair is all cornrows and braids i may wait until someone mods them and adds some more umph to the creator when it comes to the Qunari.
Qunari support thead.

I'm in love with this preset. I'm using it for my qunari mage, I'll probably tweak it a bit but I like the overall look:
Spoiler
I will admit the first preset is great, the best in my opinion out of the others. But I was kind of hoping that the Qunari female from the demo awhile back would be a preset. I got pretty attached to her look.
The whole character creator though. It was all so exciting and I can't wait to sit down and really tweak and play with all the features.

that's probably the best looking one to start from, again im more concerned with the hair styles and horn types but her features look workable.

I'm actually shocked at how pretty the female qunari have been. I actually found the demo qunari female to be a bit underwhelming. When I saw that first bald female qunari from the CC pictures yesterday, I was genuinely surprised and pleased. She's gorgeous and reminds me so much of my favorite female orc from Skyrim. I am not upset about having a very dark-skinned and short haired qunari lady. I'm more concerned for my male qunari who I have a pretty specific vision about what I'm hoping for and I suspect it will not be an option, which will be a disappointment. I'll get over it, but I'll be a bit disappointed.

After staring at pictures of the Qunquisitors horns, I think I figured it out. The real reason they cut off their horns is not to look intimidating but instead to actually get a comfortable night's worth of sleep. I mean seriously, with those horns you can't sleep on your side or back. Just face first, mouth full of pillow. No air.

That explains why hornless Qunari are more fearsome and are considered more special. They can sleep. They have more energy to crush their sleepy horned brethren ![]()

Maybe their anatomy has evolved to make sleeping on your stomach comfortable for them. We may look at certain animals and say "how can they sleep like that" mean while they're more than happy in the position they are in.
They probably sleep like this:

I've always wondered about that... lol... especially the Arishok. He has to be very careful, always sleeping on his stomach and probably restrained so that he doesn't roll over and damage his horns. ![]()

Sleep related accidents as number one cause of horn loss, confirmed.

Also that .gif image above? Does anyone know where it origins from. I see it's uploaded to tumblr, but I am unable to find the source and would like to reblog it.

No, no, that's not what I meant, but thanks. I watched the stream, I get that. But the image itself, is literally uploaded to tumblr if you look at it's URL. I have a tumblr account and would like to reblog it, but I can't seem to find it on the site. All I've found are people literally taking that gif apart and uploading the pictures individually for notes and credit. I'd like to reblog it from the person who actually put in the effort to make the gif.

from what i remember, they don't sleep or from what it sounded like Qun based Qunari meditate, it might be the same thing as sleeping but probably in a sitting position, but yeah i remember someone saying they meditate as oppose to the mattress and covers type sleeping humans, dwarves and elves do, that or Qunari sleep on their stomachs. Maybe they stand up sleeping like Coneheads or cows. I am now visualizing dwarven or elven children/teens tipping over Qunari in Par Vollen, a punishable offense but not by death.

I find this topic offensive; the Qunari are capable of standing on their own, and do not require support. :/

For me, it's not that they don't have long hair, it's that the short hair they have are hideous. There were a few that reminded me of Fallout's CC. I was hoping that helmets with holes for the horns would fix it, but...oh well.
At least the horns look awesome.

I find it odd that you are Tal-Vashoth but your hair is worse than a Qunari. I mean you are Tal-Vashoth because you like your freedom, so how come you express with terrible haircuts?

Because not many Qunari barbers leave the Qun.
On a more serious note. We don't know the challenges of development. I am disappointed, sure. But it doesn't change my excitement to play as a Qunari. My love for them is an overall aesthetic, of which nice hair is only 5% of. And as far as I understand it, Tal-Vashoth have tough lives. Mercenary work is usually all they are suited for and they live under constant threat of the Arvaarad. I headcanon the hair as a matter of practicality.
