Superficial perhaps but also I had just kind of skipped over them because I had found them quite frustrating in DA2.
But know my eyes are opened to the facts that yes they can be kinda hot and also my inq has never been exposed to the qun I'm much more interested.

In this thread we talk about the alpha males (and females) of the world as well as the Qun. Supreme beings of Thedas.
All races and beliefs will submit one day, but until then we just keep pushing on with our elite Navy loaded with gaatlok.
We have those that look down on us and have a problem with us...thats ok. This is why we have qamek.
Panahedan brothers and sisters. Keep these bas in line on the BSN that have a problem with us. Even though bioware gives us the shaft and doesn't let our warriors duel wield 2 handed weapons we will still crush any enemy.
the Qun is blasphemy, We've been fighting off the bronze giants for over a century.
For all you're boast what have you accomplished?
In time just like the rest of thedas you will be brought to kneel before your betters.

I have not had a chance to pop in and throw my support (well, half of my support as the other half lies firmly with the stout dwarven folks) to the qunari. My first (and probably several following, including whichever one I choose to be my "canon") inquisitor will be a qunari warrior. I'm champing at the bit to my hands on the CC so I can create a badass qunari.

Funny you call the Qun blasphemy. Many of your defeated brothers submitted to it. You fight, you lose, you submit, you fuel our cause and our goals. You are weak and were cut through like nothing. The fact you STILL think you are a match for the Qunari shows you ignorance or arrogance, both of which will end in the same outcome.
Humans are weak. They cannot stand on their own and when they know they have lost they band together criminal, murderer, politician, citizen from all races, locations and everything else, but you still do not learn and you still continue to walk your meaningless path.
The first wars were just that. First, a test, a sizing up. We took our Par Vollen, perpared, improved and now we know your tactics. What you lack in skills and strength you make for with arrogance. It sounds good, but soon you will see that your armies and your "strategies" are as effective as your hot air. Submit now and join the cause or die believing in your lies. There is a revelation coming to Thedas.

It's kind of hard for me to imagine a Qunari being stealthy and avoiding notice - all things considered - but other then that I think a Qunari rogue would be interesting and rather sexy.
The Qunari Rogue Inquisitor valued stealth.
He had even heard about the cardboard box concealment strategy,
though fitting into the box itself was a bit of a struggle
and the female qunari distraction technique was not impressing the red templars...

Is the Qunari female inquisitor going to be taller than the human men? I'm kind of hoping she is, as it would seem odd if the female qunari are only human male size.

The one in the e3 vids was quite a bit taller.
This pleases, though I have Blackwall and a Dwarf in mind, if I do do a Qunari PC i like the idea of towering over the male romance option.

I agree with this as well. Sadly, wishes for a Varric romance have been dashed
The LI options are still great though!

Bringing every nation in Thedas to heel to the point where they all had to band together to actually have a chance. Quite an accomplishment...

Actually no...
Once the Armies of Thedas rallied...
Well if you look at the lore on the subject (including the very excellent portion of WOT dedicated to the Qunari wars)
Well about two thirds of the war was the Qunari's slow retreat.

Thank you for supporting my point. They would steamroll through any individual nation.

My point was that by the time the Imperium was rebelling against the Qunari Invasion of their lands, Only Rivain, Antiva and the Freemarches had Qunari presence in them.
They weren't making any headway into the interior of Thedas, in fact if you look at it from a military perspective, their headway stalled long before the Chantry declared the first exalted march.
I have many theories on this ranging from them overextending, to a poor logistical situation made worse by their fleets being engaged and destroyed to them not expecting as much initial resistance as they faced, but the point of it is.
Their advance was dead in the water years before Thedas rallied, It just took an exalted march to push to the sea.
Well three if you want to be specific but you certainly get the gist.

And how do you figure it would go now that they know the lay of the land? Now that they've had spies and sleeper agents embedded for centuries, plus converts? Frankly, I agree with Sten.

They weren't aware of the Qunari's existence at the beginning of the prior invasion.
Now every nation in Thedas is aware of them, if leader with a knowledge of history will know the threat they represent.
Not to mention the whole: Thedas outnumbering the Qunari Nation by a ridiculous margin.
Especially with the state of things in Thedas.
Mmm and whom is to say the Qunari fare any better.

They know they're there. They don't know much other than that.
I'd say the Qunari know a heck of a lot more about Thedas than Thedas knows about the Qunari.

We don't really know that, not to any margin. Plus the Qunari are physically superior, technologically superior, and have taken a lot of converts...and evidently have a lot of spies and sleeper agents.
Mmm and whom is to say the Qunari fare any better.
Doubt they had a Blight in one land, civil war in another, (their most powerful nation at that) and then a Veil tear. (also within their most powerful nation.)

Considering they were unaware of the existence of Blights, i'd argue that point.

If i recall correctly a Dev a few years back said rather then the DwarfElf Ratio of a a hundred to one, for Qunari it was akin to five hundred to one
Doubt they had a Blight in one land, civil war in another, (their most powerful nation at that) and then a Veil tear. (also within their most powerful nation.)
And whom is to say the Fade didn't breach over Par Vollen?
We have no indicator of just how wide spread that crisis is
