Destroying the power structure of an oppressive and genocidal war machine is quite different than the rape and enslavement of an entire species

To destroy Orlais would be to destroy the homeland of a group of people numbering the in the millions, the Orlesians.

It would also lead to much war due to the removal of one of the world's superpowers; Nevarrans, Tevinters, Marchers, etc, all would fight over Orlais' corpse which would result in deaths, enslavements, rapes; much of which would befall on elves who are more defenseless than most.

 

Desire to destroy Orlais all you want but you'll have to surrender the high ground first.

I don't see why the other side is allowed to call for the genocidal death of all humans in Thedas, but someone isn't allowed to make breeding camps. They're both equally awful.

Probably; I mean first off you need to think about all the people tied into Orlesian Nobility, now all of those directly tied to the Nobility, and those who's livelihoods depend upon those people.

 

The Military, Agricultural Sector, Commerce, The Arts, Basically every facet of society.

 

Even if you don't kill anyone but the nobles directly, you still doom an entire country basically out of spite.

 

Its practically evil.

Killing millions to save thousands, which won't even work by the way, doesn't make any sense. And those thousands would just die in the ensuing chaos as well. Think of the long term effects. Then the qunari steamroll Thedas and all cultures are gone and we're speaking Qunlat.

Breed their race out of existence with those who will cooperate and get useful labor out of those who resist until they are worked to death.

That reminds of my own plan for the dalish countersinsurgency, which is to put dalish civilians in concentration camps and declare a free fire zone for any dalish caught outside.

 

If worked for the British against the boers and in Malaysia, then it'll work here.

 

Edit: Oh and the most appealing Dalish women in the camps would be given the honor of being concubines for Human and CE auxiliary officers.
