Well, perhaps the spirits of the dead haunt those lyrium encrusted skeleton things left behind by the blast.

I liked all the Origins, but HN got special for me in the Sacred Ashes quest when you saw Bryce again.
Pup.

Mmm that was a good one but my personal favorite?
Casteless Dwarf after Paragon of her Kind.

That was one of the saddest parts of the game for me, right there. Especially when Sten, of all people, tries to comfort you.

That's gonna suck for the origins who had friends/family with them when the blast hit.
My name is Inigo
MontoyaCousland. You killed my father. Prepare to die.
And your nephew, and your sister in law, and your mother and all their staff, servants and knights.

Oh and their priest.

It was Leske wasn't it? Damn it Leske.
Howe was like a Bolton in the wrong universe

And to think, you can choose mostly sarcastic dialogue to roleplay how your PC hides their pain with a wall of humor. It'll be the sadded thing since playing All That Remains with Sarcastic Hawke.

And now I have the thought for a broken bird human rogue ![]()

It seems like for every origin Sten is actually the most sympathetic person there. I think he was malfunctioning.

It actually made me cry.
About the only thing to do that from a video game in years...

Leliana always said he was a big softie.
I actually thought the Dwarf Noble's was a bit sad too. Trian was an ass, but I guess it became a bit easy for me to sympathize with him after we both got mutually screwed over by our little brother.
But yeah, Human Noble's reflection thingy got to me the most. Dwarf Commoner and Dalish a little bit, too.

It's all subjective. But I think Human Noble origin was the biggest gut-punch of all the origins.

I know I'm a pansy, but I still teared up when I played through it again last month. *sigh*
To the OP: My first Inquisitor will an angry Trevelyan circle mage, Pia. She has no allegiance to these monsters called human beings despite being one herself - despises being one herself, in fact. Her only real allegiance is to magic, to mages. Unlike her name suggests, she is not pious, not anymore, hasn't been for a long time. She should be fun to play. I'm hoping for some explosive interaction with Cullen.
tbh the only one of those scenes I didn't like that much was Jowan.
...because I had already given up on Jowan at that point. :S
Why was Jowan even there? "I'm a shitty ass friend with a jealousy complex, who wants to wrap you into a scheme so me and my girlfriend can go be farmers, but first we need to break into the most secure location in the tower. Do this for me, cuz ur muh frand. "

Yeah, I'm pretty sure the people in that scene were supposed to be the most significant people in your character's past, and...seeing as the character I was playing for my mage run was gonna turn him over to Irving, I'm not sure Jowan was that. ![]()
Human mage for sure. If there is one I liked the most about DA2, it was how much of a badass the mage was. On the topic- I think humans are the most enjoyable because , personally, I like putting myself in the role before I do anything else. I feel like it makes the story more involving. Roleplaying outside of race and alignment is fun for later playthroughs.

Imagine if it was Cullen instead.
My second playthrough will be human mage. Probably will be my "main."
She a mage idealist, passionate and troublesome to the previous world-order. She's in it to change the world for the better.

You can't imagine the spirit asking a better question, or get past that plague look that Jowan is sporting.
I support humans.
