You mean qunari, they're that badass, slaughtering vast human armies. Somebody would make a "qunari support thread". I think all these support threads are dumb, but human one is the dumbest.

The qunari would likely take the role of America in this analogy, thanks to being far away and technologically advanced, so the Soviet Union's place would probably be taken by Tevinter. That'd be a fun setting for the fourth DA game if something like this somehow happened.

Qunari resemble the Ottoman empire and Tevinter imperium is the Byzantine empire, analogies are very clear in this case.

And there's nothing wrong with supporting one's own race. The same race I might add that produced Andraste herself. We're the divine race meant to hold the reins of the world. The other races need to learn their place or be crushed under our collective heels.

We are the chosen race of Dumat. Not elves, and certainly not grey skinned cow people. Last i checked, bovines are domesticated beasts of burden fit for labor and consumption. The qunari are merely a more evolved form of cow. While not fit for consumption, they certainly are bred to work, and like their genetic forebear the cow that is what theyll do...work and provide for the glory of the empire, and that of each good imperial citizen. It is the will of Dumat.

Both Qunari and Tevinter are based on the Ottoman and Byzantine empires on their peaks, maybe Tevinter resembles the Byzantines already in decline. Ahem, and Tevinter was saved by the Exalted marches of other human nations. Qunari don't even rely on magic, the black powder is the future!

Qunari are stronger, their army is better, both humans and elves convert to their ideology. I think the Qun is already beating Andraste. You also don't need to support something which is already boasts 80% share of the fanbase.

I'm pretty sure the Magisters just infected other people with the Taint, including a number of women who would eventually become broodmothers.

Greece had already been taken before 1453, and afterwards they took parts of the Balkans, but they never had control over most of the area, and even during their high water mark in the siege on Vienna they had to march through lands that did not belong to them.

 

They controlled parts of Southern/Eastern Europe, and after their spectacular failure at Vienna they lost lands until their dissolution in the first world war

Meant to say half of eastern Europe, don't how I didn't type eastern. Regardless those areas was quite safe while Byzantine still stood. Balkans, Hungary and some other eastern parts fell, Vienna is part of west so my argument still stands. Byzantine Kept ottomans in check and Tevinter is doing the same. There analogy doesn't have to be perfect.

The analogy is not perfect and its quite loose. For example Minrathous is the most impenetrable city on Thedas and its not going to fall by normal means, Byzantine did not have that advantage. Also all exalted marches against Tevinter have failed. And I like to mention that Tevinter has COMPLETELY DOMINATED any nation unless they used magic too. Whether Andraste "miracles" or mages who join with exalted marches. None-mage armies are target dummies for Tevinter.
