Honestly I think it's cool. I don't like it being an even split all the time. Feels fake. Now that it isn't even, I don't care what side it leans to, it seems more authentic and like romance is about the character instead of the gender.


That said, I hope Blackwall is close to his calling. Some sort of tragic ending ( raising his kid alone, or dying together in the deep roads) would be interesting to me.

I don't get why this is surprising. Dragon Age 2 did it as well. In that game women had 5 options and men had 4.

I guess that's true. It's surprising to me because everyone was bisexual until they added Sebastian as dlc, and his romance wasn't acknowledged at the end (I thought)

I really don't care either way. i normally play both genders as is, and tend to romance the character i just like. me2 i romanced garrus. tali, and jack. those were the ones i liked. I just like the character for what they are. if romance makes that playthrough story more interesting, ill do it. 

 

And that's all i hope for from DA:I romances.

God that thread was simply terrible. That "Soo..Equality" one. Threads like that sometimes make me wish there were no romances to begin with if it meant avoiding that ugliness...But that nice to see the array of romances in this game.

I'd rather deal with obnoxious and redundant threads than not have romances in the game. People would just be obnoxious about other things, that's how fandom works.

Sebastian doesn't count, because he doesn't unlock the achievement, and is not mentioned by varic in the epilogue.

If he is considered a romance option by the keep, which he might, I think that would make him count, achievement or no.

The other options are all unstable to some degree or another, Sebastian is a normal guy and I happen to like that about him.

I have no problems with female characters having more options.

A major fan base have wanted females to get more recognition and perks in games. Now they have it, yet others are now complaining about it?

I imagine it will be, sort of like Thane's, but preferably without dying from something random. Like a sword. It would be tragic, but expected for a middle-aged Warden to be due his Calling sometime soon. Though it might be a bit much if he actually dies in-game, maybe just implied for the ending post-game.
