Not necessarily. She could accompany us on missions that are less combat-heavy and more about dialogue. Like for example meeting various factions.

I could see her being our dance partner at an Orleasian Ball.

And to add my two cents on Josie...are we sure she is just a diplomat? Being from Antiva, I am sure she has enough training to help fight if she has no choice. But she chooses to use words than weapons.

Leliana's an assassin. Josephine's a diplomat. I doubt she's going to join us in the field, even temporarily.

They have not indicated that she won't be in the field.  They've said "advisors" (without qualifying against Josephine) when talking about how they will join us on missions.  I'm not convinced that it will exclude her.  I can easily see ways for them to include her, particularly if you support her approach to a particular mission.

They have indicated very little, except to tell us Advisors aren't Companions and they don't really go out with us. We have taken one mention of a Cullen questline, and the demo showing Leli in a "oops! wrong choice!" plot related situation, and ran with it, deciding that meant "OMG, Advisors go on quests with us!!" when basically the opposite has been reiterated.

But, even with Redcliffe, chances are they get to join us through there. Besides, if Cullen has a quest line--as an ADVISOR--that would mean Leliana and Josephine may have quests. Right now, it's all speculations. Personally, I think they will.

If you want to believe that they did nothing with the advisors, that is your choice. But, I would advise waiting until the game comes out before making that assumption. However, I highly doubt the devs would've added advisors if they weren't given some kind of development like the companions, especially since they are meant to be as important.

Oh, I imagine they will be developed characters. I just think that only interacting with them in Skyhold (and possibly a "special quest" that may or may not exist) will make the fact that the romance content of ANY character is less than ten minutes of cut-scenes stand out and be all the more noticable. If the game is 150 hours long, how much of that are you spending in Skyhold?

I plan to spend time there because there is also dialogue with your companions there as well. Plus, the advisors are suppose to have quests which means they would need to join you on them. So, I think they will have as much time as the companions, but on a different way. But with not knowing everything they have plan, that's all I can go on.

That sounds a lot like a problem that isn't mine. :)

You mean "that sounds like a personal problem."  ;)

They will have their quests, at least in past they had, that shouldn't change.  Josie is still my number 1, she will have the same amount of romancing as the others. I can talk to her back at Keep, which will be pleasant as it seems I may spend time there more than previous games gave for home stuff to do.  :D

Also, that scene with Leliana in Redcliffe could be Cullen or Josie instead from what I caught.
