am i right to say that? sorry that i am slow. i stopped visiting bioware after the disappointing DA2 and ME3. But once i heard that Morrigan is going to appear in DAI, there is a new fire burning inside me.

anyway, so i just read that it is all going to be in the Keep. Problem is how am i going to remember all my choices from all the games and DLC that I have (and I got ALL DLCs, spending a ton on them to be disapointed mainly).

they should allow us to import a save into the keep or DAI for that matter. I only use PC anyway!

So why not just post this in the keep thread?

They have little information blurbs to jog your memory, and if you still can't recall you probably won't miss it if it's gone.

The Keep will provide context. You can use the wiki to freshen up your memory and/or to figure out what your character would have done. Since you have your saves, you can load them up and look at the journal.

The Keep gives you every decision you need to remember making.

And if you forget one, just consult the Dragon Age wiki.

The Keep is online after all.

It is what it is. They couldn't import saves from the old engine to the new one.

Not to mention cross-platform/generation.

I might be mistaken, but I believe that you can upload your saves to the Keep, and from there you can import from the Keep to DA:I.

I believe, actually, that must of the info is already on Origins, and that this goes to the Keep.

What about incomplete saves, as in, partial playthroughs? I think I have one that's not quite finished and don't have DAO installed anymore (and don't plan to install it before then). I wonder if they will allow you to upload/import partial saves and make up the rest of the decisions that are missing from there? That would be sweeet.

nope no save import.

Imported from BSN: Name, Gender, Race, Origin & portrait.

Read the opening page of keep thread before posting comments.

You cannot import complete or incomplete saves to The Keep. Challenges of platform and old/new generation systems made it more of a challenge than it was worth I believe. Its in the FAQ

Personally I can't wait to play with the Keep on my commutes into work.

this 'not able to import' past saves just allowed people to retcon and re-do their choices. Although we all should be given second chances, in life, you have to live with your choice. I think that is why u always have to think carefully when making a choice in bioware games (or in life for that matter) because it may have a serious repercussion in your future games (or future life).

This able to choose just make it less engaging. I mean if i found out that i make a wrong choice, i can easily choose again and that's it. in the past, u may have to replay the DAO and DA2 just to retcon a wrong choice. it makes that choice more personal.

oh well.. just my two cents. hope they allowed us to import one day.

The problem is that even if they did allow imports, a lot of decisions were lost completely in the DA:O-DA2 import. Others were reverse/erased completely. Zevran's romance, for example, was never reflected in gameplay.

So Bioware can either have you import both saves and pray to the Maker that the entire system isn't even more jacked up than the previous import debacle, or they can do what they are doing.

Also, for those of us who want to experience all the different ways DA:O and DA2 could import to DA:I, but lack the time to invest in new 30+ hour playthroughs, the Dragon Age Keep is a Godsend.

Or, in the words of the DA:Keep Code:

'Canon' is a lie, there is only choice. Through choice, I gain characters.

Through characters, I gain playthroughs.

Through playthroughs, I gain saves.

Through saves, my imports are broken.

The Keep shall set me free.

I'm sure the keep will be plenty engaging, the art is at least hella pretty from what people have been showing (Although I admit I preferred it when it was just black and beige rather than in full color)

Good one.

Reminded me of another quote:

It is by will alone I set my game in motion.

It is by the will of the Keep that thoughts acquire purpose, the Keep acquires world states.

The states become an opening.

It is by will alone I set my game in motion.

The Mantra of the Keep (with apologies to Frank Herbert).

No need. That mantra was created for the movie. It's not in the books. I have no idea who wrote it though.
