While I thought of the lack of squadmates in ME3, I had an idea of a plot set between ME2 and ME3.

After Shepard is "relieved of duty" and gives the Normandy to the alliance, the squad goes to their own paths.
But then all 12 squad members are being hunted by people (Cerberus, Mercenary Organisation, whatever). At some point, they each individually wiped them out or evaded them (of course, all of them were on their own paths, so each of them had done something different).

This is very vague but I want to see what you guys think of this.

Going to Tuchanka would be a bad idea.

I think Shepard should not be a dumb ass and go to work for the Shadow Broker. But the railroad won't let Shepard do that. Shepard has that drink with his "buddy" Anderson who has him forcibly taken into custody on Omega, and that's where the Alliance grabs the Normandy. It's in the comics. Oh, and you thought Anderson was his friend, didn't you? Let TIM shoot him.
