Am I the only one who REALLY want an Ultimate Edition of DA II on Origin? ![]()
If anyone else do, please, reply, so Bioware notice us!
Ah, I remember getting DA:O Ultimate Edition during some sale for 110 PLN (about $30). I bought it despite having base game already, because it was cheaper than buying each DLC separately.
Releasing Ultimate Edition of DA2 at some reasonable price tag before/shortly after DA:I hits the shelves might be a good marketing move to sell some more copies of it.

Yeah, that's right! =)
Listen to your fans, Bioware! ![]()
Um. They stopped support on DA 2 a long time ago. Its not going to happen

Never going to happen. Thats not how it works in the business world. They stopped supporting DA2 a long time ago to work on Inquisition. Also...DA2 only sold half of what Origins sold.

So It makes sense that they launch a DA II Ultimate Edition
They have nothing to lose but to gain! No one is buying DA II or the DLC's, I think a Ultimate Edition is going to improve the sales

Actually by the time the UE of Origins came out they had stopped all work on Origins and had started production of DA 2 by then, the UE was released October 26th, 2010 where Dragon Age 2 was released March 8, 2011, just 5 months apart so saying the fact that there is no more work on DA 2 is not really a good assumption to make, I could actually see them re-releasing both Origins and 2 one day since the rumors about the ME Trilogy being re-released is going around and the popularity of remakes has rose.
I doubt they'll release one, but I would like it very much if they did. I've already purchased all of the DLCs for my PS3 version, but I haven't for my PC version because they're so expensive. An Ultimate Edition would solve that problem. ![]()
I think Bioware have nothing to lose, since DA II launched a long time ago and is not selling anymore(not so much, I think).
They need to know that the fans want it!
Maybe a hashtag on twitter, so they notice what we want!
But it can't be just me ![]()
Can you guys help? Maybe #DAIIUltimateEdition
Even the people who doesn't want it
It would be awesome

Like I said...its not going to happen. DA2 support ended a long time ago. They are not going devote resources to it when a new game is about to come out.

Game only sold half of what Origins sold. They are focusing on Inquisition. You just need to learn to move on and deal with it.

Not going to happen. They probably already have storyboards on DA4. It would not make sense for them to focus on a game that only sold half of what Origins sold. You guys should look forward to Inquisition instead of focusing on the past.
If that's true, it's sad
I'm not asking them to give support on DA II, just to sell all the content together, a lot of people would buy it. They don't need to "concentrate resources", just pack the damn content together and launch it for a reasonable price. It is a smart move.
You are really pessimist, Melca
lol
Bioware, read it, please \o/
Yes this needs to happen! I've been wanting to get DA2 for PC for ages but I alas there is only the regular version which really sucks. I'm not really into buying first Bioware points so that I could buy the DLC. The sales would increase significantly if they would make a UE version, even if it's just for Origin. I know plenty of people who would gladly buy a UE version if it where available.
Since i already have DA2 (pre order) + Legacy/the black emporium (and some other promo pack) i would love to see the DLC come available on Origin and not buy it through Bioware points since they are kinda useless. I have to buy 1600 BW points to get the 2 DLC i want, which are 13xx together so i'm stuck with points i won't use...
Then again DA2 wasn't what it was supposed to be and the DLC should be give for free ![]()
Oh yes and i don't know where to place this but here's a tip... :
When you (like me) used an old email address to buy the DLC and later on BW and EA (Origin) got mixed together you can experience DLC issues (not authorized)
After getting in contact with EA (Origin support) i had to delete some folders, reinitialize all games and such and i started DA2 again.. i still didn't show the DLC.
Then i figured out i was logging into DA2 (ingame login) with a different/old account then i used with Origin. After i logged out and back in with my Origin info all DLC was detected and enabled.
Just a tip, if some mod can put this in the right place that would be awesome.

I'd like to see the ultimate edition on Steam actually. Really, I want all the bioware games on Steam as I feel unclean dealing with EA and their Origin system, but that's just me.
Don't see anything complicated in the creation of such a kit, it is strange that they haven't done so already.
I agree Ultimate needs to be here, the games DLC is ridiculous in its pricing at least for PC.
I remember a thread about this after the last DLC for DA2 was released. None other than Mark Darrah, Exec Producer of both DA2 and DAI, responded.
IIRC he said that there was no interest among merchants for an Ultimate Edition and so they were focusing on making the next game (i.e. DAI).
There are costs to packaging DA2 into an Ultimate Edition and selling it. Some are fixed and can't be avoided. Some are variable based on units produced. If a company can't realistically expect to turn a profit, there is no reason to move forward.

A rerelease of a game that didn't sell well? That's poor logic. I could seem them creating a bundle in the future, but that won't be for a few years or so.
I actually looking for DA 2 DLC bundle. Have to spend $30 on DLC seems a bit too much. Is there no way to get those DLC in a single pack?
I bought DA2 for the X-Box, re bought it on sale on Origin. Unfotunately, seperate accounts for the two, not that it helps much,
I would like to pick up the full variety without using the Bioware points, and at a reasonable price. 'an Ultimate' upgrade would be nice. ($10 - $20 for the game, $30 for add-ons seems backwards...)
I think it's a pretty good idea and I am surprised that EA haven't done so, with the success of DA: Inquisition, many new fans would want to play DA2 to catch up with the storyline, the DA2 Ultimate edition (if they ever release it) should be perfect choice for them.
