Can anyone please help? I have looked all over the internet in forums and just can't find a way to fix this problem, the toolset gets stuck on Renderer when I launch it.
I use a windows 7, I have tried running as admin, tried running in xp.. I have pretty much tried everything that I have read. I have the downloaded edition, with NwN2 OC, MoTB, SoZ and Mysteries of Westgate.

I also have a problem with the game crashing whenever I try to launch multiplayer.

Really would appreciate the help!

I suspect the version you have doesn't come with the DirectX 9 installer that you need to launch the toolset.  You can install it without problems even though you probably already have a later version of DirectX.  I don't have a link on hand, but you should be able to get one directly from Microsoft's site, which would be the safe option.

i think this is it:

http://www.microsoft...ls.aspx?id=8109 - full package
http://www.microsoft...ails.aspx?id=35 - web installer

also, .NET 2.0 - 3.5 is required. ( but i think that comes auto w/ win7+ )

it says :Setup has detected one or more DirectX component files are in-use by an application. Please exit all applications before running DirectX setup.

I'm not sure what application it means, I havnt got any background games running, So I'm confused.

I'm not sure either, could be anything like your soundcard

suggest 2 things:
1. reboot your computer and try to install dx9 via the webinstaller right away.

2. download the full package of dx9, search on Google for how to boot win7 in Safe Mode, and try installing dx9 this way.
- i say download the full package because you *might* not have network in Safe Mode. Then reboot,
