Hi! I haven't been able to upload my Dragon Age characters to BSN since 2011-04-05. When I go to Profile Diagnostics it shows the error message Invalid persona/game combination, and if I should try to delete a character it shows the message Unable to connect to the online storage servers.

 

The reason for this is probably that I changed the name of my Xbox live gamertag a while ago. I have some old characters uploaded, those that were uploaded back before I changed my name, but nothing has been updated since I changed my gamertag. I have been playing since then with the option to 'Upload characters' marked.

I know that it can take a while for a characters progress to be uploaded to BSN, and this is not the issue. 

 

I have gone to ea.com and swapped my Default persona to my new gamertag (HowBadCanItGet) but the error message on BSN still show Invalid persona/game combination.

 

Does anybody know how to solve this or who to turn to? I was chatting with an EA employee who gave me the advice to unregister/re-register my games on the BSN, but it didn't help.

I am having the exact same problem. I changed my gamertag on my Xbox and now I'm getting this error message. Any solution?

Note, that changing your Gamertag shouldn't be a problem on the Keep, just for the BSN.

Ah. I believe this is my issue as well. Not specifically in regards to changing my gamer tag though. I did originally play DAO on the Xbox 360, but then I purchased DA2 on PC thereafter. I never uploaded my DAO character from my 360 playthrough to BSN. After beating and completing DA2, I eventually purchased DAO Ultimate Edition via Steam for PC and beat the game again. This is when I attempted to upload my DAO character profile to BSN and I've had no luck. This isn't a new issue either. I saw another thread on the EA forums where your DAO character profile will not upload to BSN if you played DA2 first apparently. It has something to do with the DA2 persona being too long that DAO can't recognize it. Any aid in resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated!

 

On a final note, I should also add that my xbox gamer tag and origin account for PC used to be separated. I had these consolidated a few years back, so I doubt this would be germane to the current situation. Just trying to cover all the bases though should any additional information be helpful.

Same here. No uploads since 2011. i have also changed my xbox gamertag. And also the EA support told me to post this problems in the Forums. If anybody could help...

Getting the 'Invalid persona/game combination' message on profile diagnostics too.

Noticed my PC origin ID is different to my BSN ID. Is this the issue and if so how do i go about correcting?

The script that is renaming the broken personas is running right now and should be completed very soon if not already.

I've cleaned out our local database cache of personas so if you try to sync your account from the BSN profile page it should work properly again. I believe you will need to do that before checking the profile diagnostics page.

Synced account and origins characters are feeding through on profile diagnostics, after I went in and opened save files.
Most of my DA2 characters are still not showing. Is this a different problem, or part of same thing?

I've also got this problem. Tried every guide that is around, even got my xbox live gamertag unlinked via EA Support (cause never played on the xbox and got information that this could maybe the source of the invalid persona issue but unfortunately it wasn't).

 

Would be really happy if there is any way to fix this problem. Even bought a new copy of the Dragon Age Origins UE to fix my dlc issues, so I'm a really die hard fan of the series and want nothing more than my warden synching to the keep, but I'm running out of options. pls help.

I'm still having the Invalid persona issue as well. Had DA:O Ultimate for 360. No characters are in the player profile and when I opened DA:O on the 360 I just get server issue messages

Im also still having the invalid persona error. Im also having some trouble with my DA 2 now there are a lot of 'blank' characters/Hawkes.

I am one of the people that changed their origin account that was associated with my gamer tag.

Also have the Invalid persona/profile combination error (specifically for my Dragon Age: Origins player profiles, DA2 works fine).  Before I started messing with the Keep a couple days ago I had to change my e-mail associated with EA Origin, PS3 and 360.  That's the only thing I can think of that's tripping up the system.

The Keep managed to load one DA:O character from my PS3 data, but won't load any of my other PS3 characters and none of my PC characters.  I can see achievements on BSN for my PC account before hitting Diagnostics and seeing the error, but I can't even see that much with my PS3 profile.

I get this error too. It's using the persona from a second account I hold, with a different email. Possibly a result of me trying to merge the two accounts once?

You can edit your Keep world state without importing data from DAO and DA2. Not being able to import your old heroes will not impact you in the game if you edit your tapestry first to match what you had before. Please see the Keep FAQ:

I've got the same problem, and even though it shouldn't impact the Keep, I'd still like to have it fixed. It's kind of freaking me out, and I spent about 2,5 hours contacting EA/Origin last night trying to fix it ):
