Can't believe I forgot to mention SMT. I played Persona 4 and Devil Survivor 2 through three times each. Love those games.

You'll break yourself of that after enough time with the game ^_^ Fallout 3 was my first such game and initially I was so frazzled and frustrated and overwhelmed trying to do a million things at once but I eventually learned to keep going with the quest I was on before diverting to new ones I just picked up (unless they were more interesting lol)

If this had come out a few years ago I would be terrified but I think Skyrim did an excellent job of preparing me for games like this.  I've got two 100 % completion level 81 characters in that game.  Bring it on Bioware.

I could never ignore a quest... it's scary how big that list can get sometimes.

Fallout is one of those that I could never get into for some reason... prolly need to try again. Get something to fill the time between now and DAI. I did only try New Vegas though. Is 3 a better start point?

Final Fantasy's Lightning Returns has prepared me for any game really lol. When you're that pressed for time and still needing to do side quests as well as the main quests you learn to prioritize and get stuff done.

Especially when you can't give up a side quest like me.

I got every side quest in that game done in the first playthrough.

Time management baby.

I can't wait for this game lol

Most people I talk to seem to like 3 better, but I like NV better (though I love both!) ^_^' 3 feels way more post apocalyptic though and is harder and less guided. You should watch a bit of a let's play on FO3 to see if it's something you would like.

Oh the masochism that comes with being a completionist sometimes. Every time I hear from the devs about how massive DAI is part of me exclaims in jubilation but another equal part shakes in fear of the mental frustrations it will also bring me. How I envy those who can ignore all the crates and elfroots and move on to the bigger things.

At least there's solace in the fact I won't be alone. ;)

I like to thoroughly explore areas - I go down one path, then when it looks like I might be about to progress the story ("What's that? Werewolves standing ahead looking like Plot? Not yet!") I backtrack and explore other paths. I make sure I go down every path and gather the loot or whatever is there.

The massive areas in this game are a maze of interlocking pathways and it seems you can even cut through areas off the path too... The lack of logical routes to follow means that fully exploring an area is going to be an absolute nightmare, if not impossible... and yet I know I'll probably try anyway, and have a nervous breakdown because of it.

Please note, this is not me criticising the game - it looks like an amazingly realistic living world BW have created. This is mostly just me lamenting my own lack of self-restraint and mourning in advance all the countless hours I'm going to be wasting in this game just to find "leather boots x1" or a random sprig of spindleweed... and still missing a bunch of stuff anyway.

As a completionist/perfectionist person and player, I surely feel your pain.

- Let me guess, you feel like you have to get it all in the first playthrough? Even though you realize full well, that in a future playthrough, you can potentially find almost everything important especially since you know where the loot is located?  Of course, it drives you nuts when certain "important" loot is randomly generated and changes after each save/load. ("Important" being defined by you, as you see it.)

- I hate the constant feeling like I missed some loot, then I realize it was something worth 3 bronze that I spent 30 minutes searching for. Don't get me started on the Leather Boots, lol.

- Or how about in the middle of a long quest and your backpack is full? That drives me nuts, what do I drop and what do I keep? "Oh my God, I can't possibly drop that item, my Inquisitor or one of my companions might need that later in the game." It might be the difference in me defeating the Elder One or failing? Grr...

- How about collecting herbs like there is no tomorrow because there might be that one difficult fight later in the game where you need countless potions to get through alive on your umpteenth attempt? You know there is always one battle somewhere in the game which gives you grief.

- How about spending hours crafting items to get it "just right" by comparing every single stat? Then, you now have to do the same with EACH companion. Ouch!

I think you get the idea...

I just wish that they would release one of the maps, not anything detailed or shows everything but like an outline. Similar to the enlarged map of DA2. I just want to get a taste of what a map looks like and how big it actually is instead of words.

I will be immersed in this game forever. 0.o

  I do that even in an a MMO ! None pick the loot ! It drive me mad!! if I could throw it at them..I be bombarding them with the few bucks the mobs drop .

Thanx god..in a single player...I don't have to pick after anyone , and I always pick everythinggggggg......hopefully we get a giant invtry (miss the bag of holding where you could stuff a body in it !)  :P

It's actually the reason why I don't do multi-player games, aside from the fact that I don't have any friends and I just plain don't play well with others, my backseat gamer tendencies really come to the fore during such times.

Yes, hopefully we'll get a bottomless chest like in Warden's Keep. The only reason why I make sure to do that DLC right after I've gotten Shale and before I've even gone to one of the main quest areas is because I need somewhere to store my loot. I'll never use that +2 frost rune, but by gum I need it and my chest needs it.

I'm not so sure about that.

The hardest decisions I ever made in Fallout 3 (or New Vegas for that matter) were what piece(s) loot to drop after I reached my carry threshold. Do I keep that hunting rifle so I can repair Lincoln's Repeater in a pinch and sacrifice that 400 caps worth laser rifle instead, or do I throw it away and hope that I won't run into much enemies so I never have to repair my weapon and can sell the laser rifle for good caps instead?

Who cares about clean water when I HAVE AN INVENTORY TO MANAGE!?!?!

Anyone else have a hoarding problem in games? I do, I feel the need to collect everything and stock up on what ever I can find. I mean you never know what your gonna need later! What if in the beginning of the game you come upon an item you will need mid way through the game and you didn't pick it up and when you need it you cant find it again and then in your mind you have to start the game over, because it will drive you insane to not have that item......also I have a problem with CC, I will spend like an hour and half to 2 hours on my character then get into the game and see them in one cut scene, they not look right and have to start the game over.

If I miss something in a playthrough, I will get it in a later playthrough. No big deal.
