The question makes it seem like Blackwall is alone facing a mob. Depending on the damage reduction you receive when you block shield wall sounds like the best option. With each block you gain "guard" that may be enough for you to win by attrition. I wiah I knew the exact numbers but I'm going to assume they're in my favor. So shield wall it is!
