I think there was a concept art for a darkspawn in DAI but I don't remember where it is tho. But I think they will appear since we go back to the Deep Roads.

I seem to remember that someone said they were in, but I don't remember where it was from. I do recall that there was a thread about encounter design and number and variety of enemies, and one of the combat people came in and used an example involving darkspawn to illustrate his point. He used names for darkspawn types that we haven't seem yet.

Actually, the ghasts were kinda cute.  I liked to try to kill as many of the little beasties as I could before the valghastrial was killed.  Fun with mob fights...nah.  At least they had the decency to appear from thin air as opposed to parachuting in.

 

Yeah, Dark Knight, I hope we do see some awakened darkspawn.  Fascinating and very creepy.  Dreading no repeat of the Architect, though.  Between him and Cory, it's a tough pick.  Either I want to slap the warden commander or Hawke for letting them get away.

I'm really hoping for one of these guys as a Secret Companion in a game one of these days.

 

That would be just awesome. I think Bioware would want to keep it a surprise if they ever did that, but it would be an awesome surprise.

Well then, fingers crossed for another Secret Companion to be revealed when we play the game!

 

Or maybe just a Secret Advisor if you spared the Messenger. That would be good too, and make our choices from Awakening relevant in a serious way.

 

I'd love an army of Awakened Darkspawn who see the Elder One as a threat worth allying with the Inquisition against.

In all seriousness, I do hope that we can recruit the various fantasy creatures to our cause in Inquisition. I hope that creatures capable of sentience are deeper than "I'm a monster RAWR!", and I also hope that our response to said creatures is more varied than "It looks different than us, lets kill it."

 

 

My cannon play through is going to have the most diverse Inquisition that I can have. I plan on having not just Humans, Elves, Dwarves and Qunari in my ranks, and not nearly Mages, Templars, and Mercenaries, but Sylvans, Werewolves, Awakened, Wyverns, Dragons, Golems, even demons and spirits that are willing to work with my PC against the Elder One.

 

 

When I march my forces against the main antagonist, I want his first reaction; upon seeing the mind bogglingly diverse forces arrayed against him; to be:
