It probably just me, I really wanted to romance a female qunari. But the romance options for the men are just so uninteresting.

What you are saying is you want the writers to create a character to suit your needs/demands.   Doesn't work that way.

 

How about playing the game then review it afterwards?

Not all Qunari are humorless. Actually, even Sten had a sense of humor. A very dry sense of humor, which made it hard to tell when he was joking. But he had one!

All i have to say is we don't even know these character that well yet. and the ones we do know have changed since DA2. its been years and they might have changed significantly from the questionable Cullen or the relaxed varric.

 

So we shouldn't count our chicken before they hatch.

 

I didn't think i would like ME2 romances then i met Jack and the new Garrus and they became my favorite characters and romances.

 

We just truly don't know these characters. but everyone can choose to judge as they wish.

Personally, I only care about race as far as having a variety of options of how the LI's look physically though the most important thing is how they are.

It's kind of like when you go to a party, and there's a few girls there, but the only ones that you're interested in are not interested in you. You can go find another party, or you can decide to have fun despite the lack of sexual prospects. But it's really not the fault of the girls who are interested in you that you don't find them attractive, nor is it the fault of the disinterested girls for not finding you attractive.

Honestly, I don't want to judge before playing. I want to play before saying if romances will improve the game or not... (For example, I really enjoyed romancing Liara T'soni in mass effects as a man shep and Thanes Kryos in mass effect 2 as a fem shep).

Is it that hard to swallow your pride and play as something else? You can stick your flaming sword in two ladies and two dudes. On second thought, I doubt Bull is gonna be interested in non-Kossith knobs and will make you ride if you can't compare.

Because men can only bang humans, ew, and a male qunari. Makes sense to me.
