Why is it bad for someone to dislike short hair? It's just a preference.
Disclaimer: Not my preference. I love the way Cassandra looks and I love her hair.
I don't have issues with preference, I have issues when people whine when something is outside of their preference.

I think it's the misogyny coupled with the criticism of the short hair.

Fair enough reason. I get that.
Nothing is wrong about preferring a certain type of female or male, which was why I was curious.

I'm just trying to figure out how she manages that braid. Is all of her hair long on one side or something? Where does it start at? (Hair dynamics. Gotta figure them out.)

Well, everyone can't like everything.
For instance, I'm not a Cullen fan. I find his good looks to be a little much, and I've never really liked his character. But other people do, and that's great. I'm glad a lot of people like him.
I just hate it when people complain about the way she looks, and how they act offended because god forbid Bioware make a character who looks different from the usual conventional beauty. (Though Cass is more than attractive enough to be a model.)
It's just a stupid thing to complain about to me.
I apologize, I'm not lecturing you or anything. This is just me ranting in general.

I totally agree...everyone got something good IMO. I really think what some people are complaining about is that they feel butt hurt that they didn't get EVERYTHING as they feel they are entitled to it.

Oh, I didn't take it directed me at all. I do see where you're coming from. There is a difference in being disappointed and turned off (for better lack of term) by someone's appearance, but it is strange when people act as though Bioware did something wrong for including it.
I don't mind conventional beauty. Everyone does have preferences, though. Whether physical or otherwise--most people just don't admit it for fear of being called out on it. I wish Solas had hair, but meh. If his personality shines, I can overlook it.

Damn, I've never had a chance to braid my hair. (Would do it if I ever let it grow long enough, just to try.) Seems like a lot of work to put in for someone whose constantly in battle. But Tee-gahn also had a braid. So I guess there willing to put in the effort every day.
That or they just don't unbraid it to wash...not really sure how that works.

Strangely enough, in the concept art he had a weird looking braid...I think it was almost like a mohawk. This was of course a long time ago so he looked different all together. But still..
Wait, I might be thinking of Sera..I don't remember, anyway the point is he had hair.
I also don't mind conventional beauty. I can certainly appreciate it. But there is more to a person then their looks..sounds cheesy, but it's what I've found to be true in my experience.

Probably the same place she gets her perma-press, never-smudge make-up.

Well don't worry about it, report it if it offends you. And just try to ignore it otherwise.
I'm honestly at a loss for something to say now..the flow has sort of been broken.
