I think all of drinking/bathing in tears jokes are funny no matter who the target. I mean they are so goofy and over-the-top, that is impossible to take them seriously.

I don't disagree that Morena's features are feminine (particularly the shape of her eyes) and her softer jaw (as well as the fact that she has a softer expression), but I don't think the difference between her style in certain shots is very different from what we see with Cass, and I the idea that the fact that she has sort hair would make something like this less feminine to me is just insane:

I dunno though, anything will be an improvement over DA2's romances. I ended up going single in that game because I hated every single romance options. Best party members were ironically Varric and Aveline.

I popped into his thread because I thought, hey this Grey Warden character looks cool...lets see what other people are saying about him. And it seemed like the thread was primarily dedicated to bear fanart/fanfic.
Of course that was my mistake. You never go into a character fan thread expecting to see anything other than people posting about all the dirty things they want to do with that character. They all kind of immediately morph into LI threads and Its virtually impossible to discuss characters in a fan thread in a non-romantic way.

Well, actually there was kind of a big outcry when Cullen was revealed to be straight, but most of that was deleted from the thread... eh... I'll just leave it at that I think.
And yeah, agreed on the fan art... I tend to stay out of char threads for that very reason, and only occasionally visit them (with a few exceptions if I really like the chars...). Since I am not planning to romance anyone, I rarely have anything to add to the discussion.... I don't hold that against the fans, of course. Once the game is out, there will be more things for us to discuss besides romance... I'll probably be more active in every companion thread after playing the game.

Erm, no. There was a moment after Solas was announced female only, when gay fans were expressing hope for Blackwall to be a bi or gay LI. Nobody was expecting female elven inquisitor.
I would gladly discuss something not romance related but the problem is that we know next to nothing about Blackwall. So it's either to burry thread until November 18, or talk about something we know. Which is romance. Shrug.

What really bothers me about it is the image that they're creating - that is, the IB is perceived to be bi (technically I think PW said he's pan, but that's a distinction lost on most) and (might) love bawdy humour and/or sex jokes. Well, there are bi people out there (hint hint), who love dirty humour but who aren't trying to get everything in the sack.
