The breakdown is 2/2/2. 2 straight, 2 gay, 2 bi romances. One gender each.
WIth CUllen and Solas as "extras" who are only available fro straight female elves (Solas) or humans and elves (Cullen)

I wouldn't argue it fitting in with the lore because yeah it probably fits.

If there's one thing I've learned from the internet, it's that there's enough people in this world so that some people will be upset enough to post about it over anything. Then, if that thing is changed, another chunk of people will be upset enough to post about the new thing.
People are funny and perhaps easily riled.

Well I love that DAI again has individual sexual preferences it makes the characters more realistic imo but in truth you cant please everyone and to all my brothers/sisters that are dissapointed about the LI Options remember that at least you Human/Elf/Qunari fans have options available of your race and us Dwarf fans we get none. 
And lets not forget Brothels I am hoping they are available again in DAI in fact I want one in Skyhold.
