I have to say, its not the mages the Templars guard against, at least not what i see, its the magic that the demons hungry after in the fade that the majority of the Templars guard against.  Yes, they tend to bully the mages, the person, but its not the person thats the problem, its the magic behind the person bc of the fade and demons.

I hate the templars because they're evil ****s.

So why are you not wiping out the mages?

complete cleansing is not the answer xil both are needed both have a place

The templars have no place anymore. Some of their roles may be necessary, but the Order is too corrupt to be allowed to survive.

I will be playing a human female mage that supports the Templars. All playthroughs in DA2 that I played as a mage, I always supported the Templars.

SO are blood mages. Will you wipe them all out too?

That's what's supposed to happen. It continually failed to actually work that way, alas.

No declaration of war on me for existing outside the Chantry from their direction.

If only more mages followed the good example shown by your PCs.

Ferelden's one Circle and Orlais' main Circle were pretty terrible too, remember.

Although... a lot of our info on the day to day interactions between T's and M's comes from Kirkwall....

I need not tell you why Kirkwall is a bad sample.

The only thing that made Kirkwall unique was how easily the templars' laws were broken. The laws themselves are my main problem.

Ferelden's Circle issue was because of a mage

The annulment in Ferelden was perfectly justified to be called, and it was called off as soon as sufficient evidence was presented otherwise

Greagor was not unreasonable, I understand in the comics he isn't as sympathetic, but its still a far cry from Kirkwall

Why WOULDN'T I wipe out the Blood Mages along with the Templars?

Merrill and Jowan get pardons.

But yes, any New Mage Order must self-regulate.

Kill the Evil Mages.

Kill the Templars.

= Sunshine and Roses with the occasional demon.

Really? Because I remember the circle in Ferelden being pretty reasonable because Irving and Gregor where competent leaders who also showed that knight commander and first enchanter can be friends and still do their jobs.

It was horrible before then, with both mind rape and summary executions clearly practiced (or at least attempted, as Jowan is a slippery sort).

Actually no I don't. And as someone who's played the Magi Origin 22 times, CC mistakes, I think I'd know.

Tranquility is also a practice undertaken voluntarily and is necessary to keep the Circle safe

of blood mages or those who were possessed
