In the first (magi circle and in the swamp for awakening) and second (quest where your companions are tempted) opus of the series, there were some times we spent in the fade... I really liked that moments especially because of the stat points we obtained there. (We never had the possibility to do that in any other location of the games)

.

Did Bioware say if there will be some quests (main or side) that we will have to solve in the fade or not ?

I remember the fade during the Harrowing . As for the quest in DA2..I always though that you were in fenryale dream ? no?

Well if they bring the fade..would be nice to be able to see more then a small area .

Dreams take place in the Fade...Hawke also says, "Send me into the Fade."

Yeah I know . But what I mean...is that , that particular place we were sent to , was heavily designed as such because of fenryale . While if you compare it to where you are sent in the harrowing.....it was completly different . Heck it felt like a different dimension .

So yeah , I would like to see the fade without being or going trough someone brain .

Well we do enter the fade without going through somebody. we physically enter the fade at the beginning of the game. and we don't know if we do that again. dreams create the fade. so the easiest way to enter into the fade is through the dreams. that's also why they are called dreamers and they enter the fade while dreaming because as we know, they create morph the fade within there dreams.

Considering the entire plot of this one is "Problems with the fade  we gotta fix", I'm guessing we'll go to the fade more than once. And Solas is a fade expert so I'm guessing he may take us to it for his personal quest.

So that mean..we may never see how the fade look without any dream interference ?

Given that one of the main conflicts of the game will be The Breach, I would imagine that there will be a great deal of time spent in the Fade in this game, as opposed to DA2. Hopefully it'll be full of more bizarre imagery with the Frostbite 3 engine.

Pretty much. i mean Demons take all their emotions from humans in their dreams. thats how you get pride demons and desire demons

Hum..but I though since the demon and spirit live there......dunno . I guess I though it be a parallel world...kinda like saying a forest untouched by humans , and animals only live there . So you could see how it look . If only demons lived there..but spirit of different positive emotions live there as well . So it be curios to see how they cohabite if they do at all .

(kinda remind me of Planescape torment , in one area where alignement actually could shape the world or even destroy it)

i believe solas will offer a new perspective to the fade...  i believe in his character interview it states that because he is an apostate (not trained by circle or dalish) he did not view the fade as a hostile place and has found that when you fear the fade is when demons and bad things flock to you, but if you accept it with no fear, it will show its true beauty...

[DA]: In past games, the Fade has been a dangerous place, full of demons.

[PW]: Yes. Most people in Thedas think of the Fade as demon-land… and Solas believes this is part of the problem. If you go into a realm that by its very nature reflects the thoughts and fears of living people, and if all you’re ever taught in the Chantry is that the Fade is this terrible place that wants to kill or possess you, then when you get there, of course it’s like that.

[DA]: Solas doesn’t fear the Fade?

[PW]: I’d say he respects it. It’s still dangerous, but because Solas found the Fade on his own, he went in without preconceptions, letting him explore the area and befriend spirits without the black-and-white mentality that holds back mages trained in the Circle. While everyone else guards themselves, assuming everything in the Fade is a threat, Solas will find a brilliant unimaginable light, smile delightedly, and move in for a closer look.

Thats the quote from the interview

@AlexiaRevan:  Planescape is based off the D&D cosmology wherein the "Planes" are places where "mind is made manifest" basically.  They're physically representations of D&D alignments.

The Fade - is an ephemeral realm of thought (D&D Astral or Ethereal Planes would be much closer) - where "mind is made manifest" but only within the Fade itself.  It only exists in the Fade because you believe it does - unlike the physical world where things exist regardless of what you believe.

The Spirits and Demons are also vastly different from the Planars who are themselves sapient individuals capable of independent complex thought.  Demons and spirits are not like that until/unless they spend a LOT of time with humans.  So... in approximately 10,000 years of DA civilization building... the Fade spirits are still only what we see them as.  I would imagine it would take FAR longer for them to become anything even remotely resembling complex individuals.

I would imagine both Spirits and Demons actually might not even really notice each other - until the moment where a human interacts with them. Kinda like - when a new word is brought to your attention, you begin seeing it all the time.

====

@Wolfen09:  That actually mildly disconcerting about Solas.  My mage will actually be naturally opposed to Fade interaction and spirit/demons.  It will take a lot of convincing for me to believe that Solas has just been delusional about what he's experienced in the Fade.

People who develop their reality in solitude in real life - are actually prone to being very dangerous, delusional people who are totally separated from the rest of us by degrees of insanity.

The entire world thinks the Fade is dangerous - one elf might not be enough to convince me otherwise.

Still - no stone left unturned.

I will enjoy spending time in the Fade even though in that areas, I always found that gameplay and imageries are both strange.

Being in the Fade has always fascinated me, being a mage character it makes sense that we are more familiar with it than the mundies. My male mage human Inquisitor will be especially interested in exploring more of the dream realm.
