As soon as I started playing it for the first time. I'd never played a game anything like it. :)

My love (cough) addiction (cough) started the moment I played through the first time, I tend to not get attached to games but something about the characters, story line, and overall feel made me want to never put the game down. Thus... here I am, now pining for DA:I.

When I realized I was pulling my hair out waiting for Inquisition so I started buying everything Dragon Age to keep myself busy.

These are edited screenshots. I have alot of them... That's when I realized. But it's too late. I'm way too deep. Only DAI can save me now.

Coming to the end of my second playthough and making a list of all the options I wanted to explore or redo in my third playthrough.

I paused, shrugged to myself then carried on writing...

It wasn't until late in the game for me.

It wasn't until about like my 4 or 5th playthrough.  But you see, for me, I was tired of all of the "new fancier shinier" rules of everything.  Ya know?  The Witcher has its own rules.  Dark Souls has its own rules.  Etc, etc.  And each of them has its own universe too.  All that just kind'a built up on me until I was finally said screw it.  I'm not playing anything.

The same was kind'a true for space games.  MoO, in my opinion, was the best space game.  Well, MoO and XCOM.  All of the other space games, same thing...  Rules, universe, etc.  Until ME came along.  Then I realized it was the story that made the game, not the other way around.  You can have a universe and rules and all that jazz.  Without a story that's being told?  It's bunk.

I'm sorry to say, not many games are worth my time right now.

TL;DR version --  Story time kicks ass.

Been playing games for some 30+ years, and I can say without a doubt that Dragon Age: Origins is the 2nd best game I've ever played. Absolutely fantastic, I was a DA fanatic the second my mage took the lyrium for the trials B)

About an hour into my first playthrough.

Female City Elf. I'm running through the arl's manor in a bloody wedding dress, with a borrowed sword, trying desperately to save my best friend and betrothed from the evil arl. And I had the very clear and distinct thought, "I'm gonna love this game."

Vampire: the Masquerade Bloodlines had been my favorite game for a long time, and I thought nothing would ever be able to displace it. And then darkspawn....

Think it just came to me when i couldn't stop playing the game. Didn't really sit and think about it, i just kept making new characters and wanted to see everything. I still find myself noticing a few new things every playthrough, even after many hundred hours.
