Just finished replaying through DA:O, Awakening, and DA2. I always go mage in origin because I feel as though it opens the most story options. That and I've always really liked battle mages, and my Arcane Warrior is an unkillable (aside from by the final boss in Golems of Amgarrak on hard mode. Those adds sheesh.) death machine after all
. This play through I really wanted to save Loghain from death. After reading the two prequel novels I just wanted that character to stick around. Sadly that means Alistar gets screwed over, and his potential as a character is already passed Loghain's so so much for that. But yeah I went goody good, romanced Morrigan, and left with her and our god baby to a place beyond the veil (definitely one of the most interesting endings).
In Awakening I let the Architect live, because he's an interesting character (probably actually an ancient magister like Corypheus despite what he says, but still interesting), defended the city since my fort could handle itself and then made my afformentioned trip with Morrigan.
In DA2 I went 2-handed warrior Hawke this time because I wanted Bethany to live. I gave him a templar specialty and sided with the mages. The repeating city started getting to me again, but I spaced the dlc out to combat it. This playthrough was my first time playing the two dlc so that was pretty cool on top of everything.
So yeah I've been crazy about it recently too. Aside from updating a Dragon Age Timeline I made I read Dragon Age: Asunder and the Masked Empire in these past few weeks, and should be getting in Last Flight today. Really looking forward to DA:I, I'm glad they took their time with it.
PS: I actually like the fade sections. Always being able to look up and notice the black city in the sky is always a cool touch. Orzammar on the other hand...

Just beat Dragon Age II again, using a female mage this time. Thought that would add some variety, as I already did a male mage and I never really feel like playing a non-mage.
Romanced Fenris because none of the others really appealed to me the same way. For whatever reason, I just settled on him as the best romance option for this playthrough. He certainly turned out more interesting than Merrill.
Carver became a Templar, and I generally supported him and the other Templars where I thought it to be advisable, even killing Anders, though I sided with the Mages in the end.
I hope Justice was finally set free from that bastard. I liked that guy.
On another note, I hope to meet Carver again in Inquisition. That would be nice.

I totally am, although remember... your saves will NOT be imported. For many reasons (including bugs and platform changes), they are going to do "The Keep" from now on, which will allow you to craft your world via the website as you wish, including stuff you may have missed out on when you played before. So, no more "Wait but I romanced Morrigan, why is it saying I broke up with her?" or other such issues.

Very first question.
However, if you've played any of the DA games while signed into Origin, a lot of the stuff you did in the game got uploaded, so you can sync them. I'm guessing that's just a PC thing though? There's that demo with AbilityDrain and Ashe/Lady Insanity that explains it.
Edit: I actually did a 'final' playthrough of DAO and DA2 a couple months back in anticipation, and am using those as my 'canon' world state. I recently got into the Keep thanks to a kind fellow forumite, and thought that would be a distraction, but, being the OCD person I am I got all my world states set up at once so it's back to the waiting game.
I am trying to distract myself now by playing older games I never got around to before - the Bioshock series. Skyrim, Half-Life, etc.... I feel like if I just played the other DA games again I would just be sitting there going, 'but it's not Inquisition...'

I'm replaying DAO with a female dwarf from Dust town. It's been a while since I played this game though I did a run through of DA2 recently. Not sure I'll finish it but it's nice to play again and jog my memory a bit.

I managed to complete DA2... it was more fun than I remember and now I'm considering switching my first Inquisitor from Champion to Reaver, but that will depend on how the specs have been revamped. So now I'm thinking of continuing that mage run that I started, but openly using magic in Kirkwall is very distracting to me. I might have to forget about that and play as a rogue or sword and shield warrior instead.

The more I read the forums the more I feel the need to go back to DA:O.
I'm thinking of a human male mage run and a fem city elf run.
DA2 maybe with sarcastic Hawke and Isabela. I think I might upset Merrill because I'm a bad person.

I'm replaying Origins right now. My newest sword and shield Dwarf warrior is easily the best Warden I've ever made! I'm about 3/4 finished with the game and normal mode is a joke for him. Switched to hard mode without any problems but then switched back to normal mode because I'm lazy and I like obliterating everything on normal mode.

I'm trying to motivate myself to replay but it's hard when I've played DAO so many times already. I mainly want to replay for the ability to upload the headshot and general info about my Warden and Hawke for at least one playthrough. I'm not in the keep beta to setup my choices right now, so I guess replaying can at least help me become familiar with several choices again to prepare for that.
Also, for those of you who are into modding, there are at least one type of mods at the nexus for both DAO and DA2 that can speed up or eliminate the fights to help you speed through the fighting if you want to complete the game quicker.

I replayed DAO and DA2 for the enjoyment and to fix in my head my cannon world state.
As the Dragon Age Keep sync process does not import your DAO/DA2 save game, playing the game will simply inform your decisions not create them (you do that bit in the Keep).
As well as my two cannon states: Elf mage warden and Human noble warden, I'm very tempted to plan an Asswarden playthrough - a noble Aeducan dwarf who is going to make a great many unpleasant decisions ![]()

So I recently reinstalled DA2 and was about to attempt one more go at completing a play through which I've never done before. Then I saw this thread and decided to start with Origins again first. And instead of playing as a 'Good guy' / 'Knight in shining armour' type character, I decided to make a Dalish Elf who hates humans and reluctantly joined the wardens. I actually role play my character now and think about what actions would best suit his personality and feelings. It's made my favourite game ever even better. Didn't think that was possible. So thank you all in this thread who shared your characters in depth.
Now, if someone could help me out with the bug bear that is DA2. I really want to finish a play through. I just find the story rather boring, companions lack luster (compared to Origins) and the environment being recycled does not help. The only companion I ever liked was Bethany, but we all know how that turns out! Can anyone advise a class / party load out that is purely fun to play with. I don't care about combat effectiveness. I just want to enjoy the journey and make it to the end.
Thanks again!

I went back and played DA 2 in order to get the last achievements I was missing. Never know Bioware might give bonuses for having all the achievements done in DA2 and DA:O.
