So Dumdum said that I made a mistake in saying ME3 has a lot to learn from Destiny. And you know what, HE MIGHT ACTUALLY BE RIGHT! Because though Destiny has turned out to be somewhat disappointing, it still has all the same crappy repetitive features ME3MP does! Same weak AI, same pointless aim assist, same repetitive objectives, I could go on and on. So basically, Destiny actually took a thing or two from ME3MP.

But you know what, despite being a crappy clone of Halo/Borderlands and not doing what both of those games did best. It still feels like there's more gameplay to this than ME3.

So where I made the mistake was that I said:

Destiny>>>>>>>>>>>>ME3MP

What I should have said was:

Halo/Borderlands (and indeed many other games)>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Destiny>>>ME3

Also, LEARN TO PVP PEOPLE! It's not THAT bad...

TF2 / ME3MP (depending on whether you're in a PvP or AI mashing mode) >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> everything else since the original Quake with mods (AirQuake, FvF, TF, and so on)! :P

Don't get me wrong. I love me some Borderlands 2 and it's a great go-to game with friends (Especially when one of you is a Gunzerker with Team Ammo Regen class mods. WHAT IS THIS NUMBER THAT NEVER DEPLETES!?) However, part of what makes it so much fun is the humor. Let's face it. Without the quests actually being interesting due to the references and jokes and such, ultimately it would just be "Make this boss apper, kill it, load, repeat for hours till you get the drop you want." And that ****'s just stupid. No, seriously, I have killed most of the raid bosses more times than I can count (and my favorite number is 18892, not even joking, long story. Actually, not really long story, more like stupid story from 20 years ago) just because a friend wanted a drop that never happened.

At least ME3's Multiplayer feels like you're getting something done. It's repetitive, sure, and the loot is still random, but you're contributing to the war effort, getting stuff done, and hording credits for your prizes rather than just going "LOL BOSS FARMING."

Everyone I know who plays Destiny calls it "Borderlands without the humor." Which... just sends chills down my spine, in the bad way.

^I don't think so , unless they gonna relaese + 50 playable characters with different powers.

But then you need to level them all up!

Despite easily sinking over 400 hours into Borderlands 2, I only got four of the six characters past the original level cap, and two of them were via a second controller and leeching my mains. NONE of them have hit the final level cap since I couldn't afford the DLC for it. As fun a game as it is, I have no motivation at all to go back and play my level 30s, so I can say from personal experience that new characters don't always mean longevity.

(And in the worst cases, too many can result in altaholism. Or rather, the desire to play everything and never getting anything major done with any of them. I've played enough MMOs, both paid subscriptions and F2Ps, to fall victim to this, myself. It just leads to early burnouts before you can ever even access the later parts of the main game, nevermind content like high end raids.)

I've not played Halo or Borderlands but having played plenty of FPS in the past I know I just dislike them.

Hovering over the landscape like a land speeder with a gun pointing out of the corner of the screen at an odd angle just doesn't do it for me.

And then PVP !

With so many PVP multiplayer games, why should ME be PVP?  The most recent PVP I played was GTA, and that just became a trash talking troll fest.

While insults aimed at my mother don't bother me, they sure become boring pretty quickly.

If you dislike ME so much, just shut the door on your way out..... :police:

My plea to BW for ME4MP is DON'T LISTEN TO THE COD BRIGADE!  Just make it bigger and slicker, and sign me up!

I'll be honest, when they had the BL2 free weekend, i was actually fairly interested for the first three hours or so...at which point I realized I was just getting the same weapons again and again to kill the same enemies again and again, and my powers didn't really make any difference at all.

ME3>BL2 all day long.

Destiny > ME3 ? Lol no !

The only thing that is not average with Destiny is its budget and the hype it received before its release.

Yep. And it manages to be even more intrusive than ME3's.

In a way you're right David - Destiny did take some elements from ME3 like the repetitiveness and grindy nature. It's just a shame Bungie didn't also take the character variety, power variety or, crucially, the fun.

How can you compare them?

ME3 Multiplayer: An additional feature to a game with a full single player, A year at most development time, very small development team and a very small budget.

Destiny: A full retail game, 6 year development time, multi-million dollar budget and A full bungie development team.

Actually, I was wondering about ME3 aim assist, I haven't dabbled into Destiny yet... I don't think I get any aim assist when am playing.
