FPS makes me barf - literally. Motion sickness of some sort. Bummer that (almost) every game that is worth a damn is an FPS of some sort. So ME3 4eva.

I am enjoying Destiny, but I don't think it's going to last as long as ME3MP has (at least for me)

And if destiny is so much better than me3mp, then why in the hell are you hanging out in the forum?

Are people only allowed to like one game and only visit one specific game forum?

 

Both ME3 and Destiny are awesome but I wouldn't put either of them on my top 3 favourite games.

I don't know if Destiny deserves all the BSit gets atm, but once again I realise what treasure ME3MP is. Got me playing for way over 1000hrs and is still fun.

Would I be as happy with ME3MP if it was a stand alone full prize game? I reall doubt it.

 

Destiny should have had an epic SP as access point to it's world.,

Motion sickness is a real problem in gaming, but if people don't have it too badly there are two simple things that will alleviate it:

 

1. Get a little further from the screen - the edge of the screen should be within your natural field of vision.

2. Try to put the screen lower or yourself higher - looking slightly downward at the screen helps.

 

Of course, all the stuff the screen makers sell us is about bigger screens mounted closer to us and higher up the wall....

I might try some halo maybe, my nieces husband is a big halo player and wants me to give it a go.  I think i have Halo reach which was a freebie when i bought my xbox 360.  More than likely I'll be switching my mp play over to dragon age if it is decent.

Halo Reach is the current free Game With Gold on X360 (until end September) so if anyone hasn't played it, now is the chance. Awesome story, and you can play the coop split screen with a friend next to you.

Let's see if you're still playing it two years down the line.

 

For me personally I can say it wasn't the gameplay that kept me interested in ME3 MP for so long, but rather the people I played with and this forum. A similar situation could easily happen with Destiny. I have quite a few friends who play it and seem to get plenty of enjoyment.

 

David would prefer almost any game over ME3 MP at this point. Pretty sure the amusement is what keeps him posting here.

I've been hearing Destiny has a good foundation to work off of but not nearly enough content. I guess it's success will probably depend on how well and/or quickly they can flesh it out.

 

Considering the fact that ME3MP was more or less "tacked on" to the SP campaign whereas Destiny is an overhyped full price game, the fact that ME3MP can be compared to Destiny AT ALL is pretty impressive in ME3's favor. 

 

Of course I only game on PC so I couldn't really care less how well it does.

I'll bet Destiny has more up its sleeve than people are bargaining for. I mean, we're talking about the people that came up with Pathways, Marathon, and Halo.

ME3 MP is coming up on being my most played game of all time.  Though favorite single player games tend to command less time.

What is this aim assist you are talking about?

And TBH it wasn't ME3MP that invented repetitive objectives (although it is to be expected when it comes to this genre, or sub-genre if you like), weak AI etc, but that kinda goes without saying.

 

P.S. My favorite PvP shooter (heh, few years ago I wouldn't even think that there are "PvE shooters") would be AvP (2010) multiplayer. Too bad that these days there aren't many servers that can sustain decent ping with your region (whatever it is, there will be lack of them; ping < 70 or GTFO sums it up nicely), and then there are stupid scrubby rules that are enforced on like half of them.

TF deserves a mention too.

TF2 is still a good option if you like pvp.

But if you don't suffer then this

 

(just a shame ME3 doesn't support 2560x1080.   It can be forced but you lose some of the menus)
