So now that we know all of the romance options in party members and advisers, what sort of Inquisitors will you create for each character you intend to romance?

Please include Gender, Race, Class of each Inquisitor and optionally a tidbit of information about the Inquisitor's personality (as you imagine it) and how that will play out with the character you pair them with.

I'm interested to read about some of the combos. :)

(I hope this question hasn't already been asked..)

Hmm, I have nothing set in stone, but something along the following lines.

Male Elven Rogue with Cassandra. Probably a playful flirt, who gets more serious over time as things progress between them.

Male Human Mage with Josephine. Either he'll have a bit of a god complex ("It's my birthright to rule") like the Tevinter mages, or he'll be more even tempered and try to show everyone that mages aren't the menace Templars make them out to be.

Female Elven Warrior with Sera. She'll likely get a more mercenary attitude.

So many options!

Male human mage to romance Cassandra. Fairly serious pragmatic character with black humour.

Was disappointed with sera's gating, so if i like her as much as i think likely i'll try and create a female qunari warrior to romance her with.

With the romance reveals, I felt as though my choices for Inquistors was cut in half and because I want ot give all the characters a chance to romance and work some of their charm on my Inquistor, I will have to play my first run through as a she elf.

:/

I know I don't have to, before I get scolded, but it's what I feel I need to do since Solas is exclusive for elves and Cullen will only take a human or elf, which I guess makes sense but because I'm not going to into this game with a definite plan on who I want to romance, I'm leaving it up to the guys to win me over and I won't get a chance to really chose the right now for me if 2 of them are blocked cause of race.

So my dream of playing as a Tal Vasoth mage, is shattered for the while and I will play through as a she elf mage.

Oh, I forgot to throw in my combos!

I will most likely be pairing my female mage with Solas, Cullen or Blackwall.

Blackwall cause it will be nice to have a mage and warden pairing again like I had in DA:O.

Solas cause I've never dated another mage in any DA games to date, so it will be interesting to see the magic between 2 mages.

And Cullen with my mage just because I want to rub it in his templar face! >:3

I have a few so far in no particular order

Human mage/Cullen

Elf rogue/Solas

Qunari mage/Iron bull

Elf mage/Blackwall

Dwarf rogue/IB

Elf mage/Cullen

Elf mage/Dorian

They'll probably be the first run throughs I do before I mix them up a bit and include maybe a human mage for Sera and a dwarf warrior for Cassandra.

Skye Adaar: Cassandra.

Male mage qunari. Cheerful, friendly and bit oblivious. He's promage, proelf and over all pro-freedom. I imagine Cass losing her temper with him alot.

Michal Trevelyan: Cullen.

Female warrior/rogue human. Noble, religious (Andrastean), friendly but sheltered. She probaply shares alot with Cullen with makes there relationship easier I think.

Tamarin Lavellan: Dorian.

Male rogue elf.  Egoistical, clever, kinda tsundere. Well Dorian will need some patience.

I'm going to romance Blackwall first, with a human mage inquisitor. Not much reason for the mage part, I just want to play as a mage first so :P. She'll be the classic paragon hero, but with humor thrown in at the right moments.

Then I'll romance Dorian with a human male, full on sarcastic warrior or rogue. Not much reason for the human part other than me preferring to romance him with one. I'd have romanced him as a mage but if he's going to be my second playthrough I wouldn't want to play as the same class twice in a row. I could also change my mind and make an elf too...so many options!

Going to romance most and probably all remaining LIs eventually, but that's all I decided on for now. Oh and I'll romance Iron Bull with a qunari, not sure if it'll be male or female. Oh and Cullen with a mage of course because romancing him as anything else would just be a waste of good story potential.

Human Male Warrior, 2hander, devout Andrastian whose faith has been shaken of late, who believes mages should be protected by the Circles not imprisoned by them. Cassandramancer *sigh*

Qunari Female Mage (Necromancer probably) hostile to the Chantry and Templar methods. Doesn't want to lead but enjoys people being afraid of her. Seramancer

Dwarf female rogue (lives for the moment) - Blackwall

Qunari male mage (idealist) - Iron Bull

Elf female rogue (pro elf, not necessarily pro Dalish) - Solas

Dwarf male rogue (subtle, even perhaps devious) - Josephine

Elf male mage (intellectual, has a temper) - Dorian

Qunari female warrior (likes a laugh, sometimes at others' expense) - Sera

Human male rogue (pragmatic) - Cassandra

Human female mage (disillusioned) - Cullen

Male Elf Mage (probably a Necromancer) - ruthless, end-justifies-the-means type of guy, spreading the influence of the Inquisition by any means necessary and with an iron hand.

As to romance... I'll see whose character suits me better. I may end up not romancing anybody in that particular playthrough. But Josephine is more probable than Cassandra, whom he will probably see as a sort of rival. An useful ally, but a potential contender to his rule of the Inquisition - giving that Inquisition is (I think) pretty much her and Justinia's idea. I don't know much about Josephine's character, but it seems more likely that he wil romance her.

In general, all those important characters, who may try to shape the Inquisition's policy to suit their needs and beliefs - Leliana, Cassandra, Cullen... - he will probably try to control, through various means - starting with diplomacy, and that's where Josephine may come in.

This character will not be romantically involved in a true sense - romantic relationship will probably be just another way of him trying to influence an NPC. In a way, he will "fake" the romance entirely, so the choice between Cass and Josephine, will be a matter of their character and usefulness.

I have 9 characters planned and I'll be romancing all 8 characters. I have some general preferences on how I choose the pairings: 1. I almost never do same race pairings unless locked into (Hawke, Solas etc). 2. If I feel mage/warrior (and rogue) combinations will add to the dynamic, I go for it. 3. If a character is bi, I generally prefer to romance them with the same sex.

FWIW, I'm female and straight with some ace leanings. So grouped by player race and gender:

Female Elf Mage/Cullen
Female Elf Warrior/Solas
Male Elf Rogue/Dorian

Female Human Warrior/Sera
Male Human Mage/ Iron Bull

Female Qunari Rogue/Blackwall
Male Qunari Mage/Cassandra

Female Dwarf Warrior/Josephine
Male Dwarf Rogue (he's Ace)

I keep changing stuff around so nothing is final.

EDIT: and what about your combos OP? :)

I've gone back and forth a bit with my ideas.

I think this is where it stands right now:

1.)  Male qunari two-handed warrior - romance Dorian*

2.)  Male dwarf dual wield dwarf - romance Iron Bull*

3.)  Male qunari support spec mage - romance Iron Bull*

4.)  Female dwarf sword and shield warrior - romance Josephine**

* There is a solid chance that Iron Bull is going to charm the greaves off of this first qunari inquisitor.  If so, then the dwarf will end up romancing Dorian.  I am thinking that at some point I will want to do a mage (but I am not interested in humans or elves), so that's why I'm thinking a qunari mage for the third one and, if I haven't done an IB X qunari romance at that point, I will want to explore that storyline with him.  If I have (i.e. charmed by IB in my first go-around), then this guy will romance whichever guy I liked best first time around.

** I'm not loving either Sera or Josephine, to be honest.  I will want to try out a female character at some point and I have a real weakness for the idea of a lady dwarf being the hero, so I'm sure I'm going to roll a dwarf for my only lady inquisitor playthrough.  I really prefer to play s/s romances, if possible, so likely she will be a lesbian and, if I had to put my money down, I'd say that Josephine is more my style than Sera.  However, there is a real solid chance that she might end up being bisexual so that I can keep my options open for Blackwall.  I'm bummed that he's not an m/m option, so I might still want to give him a go with my lady dwarf.  Not sure yet.

In order:

1. Male Elf Mage (Rift Mage) - Iron Bull
2. Male Qunari Warrior (2 Handed) - Dorian
3. Female Qunari Mage (Necromancer) - Sera
4. Female Dwarf Rogue (Dual wield) - Josephine

The Qunari's will be English and the Elf/Dwarf will be American. I might switch round the female Qunari/Dwarf though because a Sera/Dwarf Rogue romance seems interesting to me as well! Also these are the only ones that I plan to do because I doubt I'll do more than 4 playthroughs but if I were to romance Cullen it would be with a female Human templar, Cassandra would have a male Dwarf archer and Blackwall would have a female Qunari rogue (archer or dual wield) and Solas would have a female elf mage. But I doubt I will get round to any of those.

Female Elf Mage - Solas

Male Elf Rogue - Dorian

Female Dwarf Warrior - Sera

Male Dwarf Rogue - Iron Bull

Female Qunari Mage - Josephine

Female Qunari Rogue - Blackwall

Female Human Mage - Cullen

Cassandra is the only LI I don't plan on making an Inquisitor for because playing as a straight dude is weirdly difficult for me for whatever reason. (This is kind of funny to me because Cassandra was actually the LI I was most excited about before sexualities were revealed, haha...)

Also, my elf mage (planned to be with Solas) is definitely going to be my first Inquisitor, but I have no idea what the order will be after her. :/a

I actually typed this out in Notepad a few weeks ago, I'm that lame. xD Listed in order of playthrough/interest. Haven't figured out all of their personalities, however.

Female human mage ~ Iron Bull

Female elf dual-wielding rogue (city elf?) ~ Sera

Male human/elf mage ~ Dorian

Female qunari warrior/rogue ~ Blackwall (will probably have a "fling" with IB as well if possible)

Female elf mage (Dalish?) ~ Solas

Male elf rogue ~ Iron Bull

Female human/elf mage (pro-circle) ~ Cullen

Male qunari warrior ~ Cassandra

Sorry, no love for dwarves or Josephine. Just not interested. :(

Male Human Rogue, kind of a hardass but actually a good guy and romantic at heart - Dorian

Female Qunari(?) Warrior, the Paladin type - usually cold, and will crush any who stands against her without batting an eyelid - Vivienne Blackwall

Male Elven Mage, generally depressed, extremely cynical and prone to sarcasm and ill-placed humor - Iron Bull

I plan on trying all the romances eventually, but my first Inquisitor will be a female elf mage who romances Solas. I had intended to play a female elf mage anyway the first go around so I might as well romance Solas, too. Besides of all the characters he's the one I'm most interested in. Then I'll probably romance Cullen with a human mage and a human warrior. I want to see if there are any differences between the two. I might even trying romancing him with a elven rogue just to see how that goes.

Gender gating shattered most of my hopes and dreams, so I'm down to two playthroughs, not particularly enthusiastic about either one.

Male Dalish mage, romancing Iron Bull

Female human warrior, romancing Sera
