11th-17th century, pre-colonial. I dunno about keystones, but the building stones are hot water poured on granite stones breaking it evenly. The Shona still have their stone sculpting techniques as well. DC5966y1.JPG

Yup, but there are others which are older. Even in western Mozambique the Shona had some ruins there. Some of the natives of southern Mozambique were Shona, but they became changed and separated into Portuguese during colonization and the bordering in their region. (The Portuguese were once defeated and kicked out by the Shona in the pre colonial eras)

This structure must be influenced by Tanzanian/Mozambican people that they were influenced by Arab sailors and their civilization.

You're probably experiencing emotions of confusion right now mybudgee. "I thought I only fancied girls but this sexy bastard is driving me crazy!" Don't worry, I get that all the time. Unfortunately for you, I'm only for the ladies. God's gift to them in fact. Now now girls, form an orderly queue. There's enough to go around...

This structure must be influenced by Tanzanian/Mozambican people that they were influenced by Arab sailors and their civilization.

I think the Shona originated from an area around modern Tanzania. A very long time ago they say they came from a place called "Guruuswa" ("big grass?") others "Tanganyika", which a lake in Tanzania has the same name. The word Tanganyika in Shona literally means "the first world", or "where the world begins".

However these structures were exclusive to only their civilization in the entirety of sub Saharan Africa. 'Tanzanians/mozambicans' is an incorrect term when referring to pre colonial Africa, in fact these "Mozambicans" used to be Shona in the south half part of the modern region. and no, they didn't have these types of ruins the parts of the region which had been influenced by Arabs. The Arabs came to trade, or try to convert as did the Portuguese but were only defeated in their attempts and kicked out. The Shona had an empire which ruled southern Africa. The architects were also Shona, (Murenga Sororenzou is the name of the architect of Great Zimbabwe) and the Mutapas (Emperors/Builders) of the Zimbabwean Empire of Monomotapa which ruled the southern African region.

1521 map of Monomutapa

Archaeological evidence suggests that Great Zimbabwe became a centre for trading, with artefacts suggesting that the city formed part of a trade network linked to Kilwa and extending as far as China. Copper coins found at Kilwa Kisiwani appear to be of the same pure ore found on the Swahili coast. This international trade was mainly in gold and ivory; some estimates indicate that more than 20 million ounces of gold were extracted from the ground. That international commerce was in addition to the local agricultural trade, in which cattle were especially important. The large cattle herd that supplied the city moved seasonally and was managed by the court. Chinese pottery shards, coins from Arabia, glass beads and other non-local items have been excavated at Zimbabwe. Despite these strong international trade links, there is no evidence to suggest exchange of architectural concepts between Great Zimbabwe and centres such as Kilwa.

The Shona themselves have always believed there was one God who was the overall ancestor of everything (Mwari). They believed it was he who births both good and bad, thus they saw it as meaningless to devote to him, and turned to their closer ancestors, their ancestors Mhondoro (greater tribe Spirits) and Vadzimu (smaller family spirits). Nehanda, Kaguwi, and Chaminuka are the commonly know Mhondoro. Two of them reincarnated to rebel against the colonists of Rhodesia in the first Chimurenga, made sure to spark a successful second one. Nehanda led the rebellion, and she was the warrior wife of Kaguwi as well as the original Chaminuka's sister. Kaguvi was Nehanda's husband and a prophet.

Chaminuka is an ancestor of the Shona people, who include VaZezuru, VaKaranga, VaManyika, VaNdau, VaKorekore, BaNambiya, BaVenda, VaDziva Hungwe  and BaKalanga. These are dialect groups of the Shona as a family. Chaminuka's stature as a religious figure is best understood in relation to his place in the Shona lineage as a family and the role that he played as a founder of Zimbabwe. The original Chaminuka belongs to the lineage of Tovera, the earliest known ancestor of the Shona according to their history. Tovera's son, Mambiri, is the father of Murenga Sororenzou, the founder-architect of Zimbabwe. Murenga's children include Chaminuka, Nehanda, and Mushavatu. Mushavatu's descendants are the preferred mediums of Chaminuka. The original home of the Shona before they came to Zimbabwe was Tanganyika (Tanzania), which means Origin of the World in Shona. The Shona migrated from Tanganyika to southern Africa as a family. They maintained their family structure as a model ...

So this is a civilization like Mali-Songhai and Ethiopia in Africa, but a less successful one. Not something barbaric like Zulu or Angola.

Came across pieces of Krypton and Alderaan as I was running, found a former civilization to place a powerful orb for safekeeping, gathered what was left of a former treasure planet, and visited the former city of Metru Nui to fufill a quest of unity, duty, and destiny.

...among others. (Lol. XD)
