Because there are ten years between these two games - and a lot happend to Leliana in these years. She is now some sort of power player - "the left hand of the Chantry" and this has to have changed her. She isn't the soft and kind young woman anymore. Watch the first gameplaytrailer and you know what I mean

Of course not for the only purpose of Romancing her - more of a sideeffect ;)

She is different now which means it is a different experience with a different character (Warden/Inquisitor)

I imagine she'll have a story arc that will tell you how and why she's different, you don't need to get in her pants to find that out...

throwing in new romances would be suicide look at all the complaints there are now about unequal numbers I would rather they just expand the ones we have.

I'd much rather have a brand new DLC party member that is a potential love interest, ideally a Qunari female (or non-human at least). Leliana had her time (and opportunity) in Origins.

Yeah, and to be honest, I really dislike the idea of DLC romances in general.  It feels like a way that EA will immediately glom onto in order to microtransaction people to death.  I can already imagine a scenario where there are no (or maybe only one) option for each orientation and then a bunch of DLCs where you can pay to romance a character.  It makes me cringe a bit.  I'd much rather they focus DLCs on story-based content (like Legacy or Mark of the Assassin or Return to Ostagar) and expand the existing romances with some specific dialogue and interactions within those stories.

I don't mind a companion romance DLC if the DLC is for a new companion who happens to be romanceable (a la Sebastian).  That's fine to me.  But they've already confirmed that there will be no DLC companion (for the first game since ME1, I believe).

Uhm, how about no? And if anyone needs a romance content in a DLC it's Zevran..

Because even though I romanced him in Origins he can have sex with Isabela and Hawke in DA2, Joke or not. I didn't like that at all.

Cant romance Leliana in the main game because 3-4 superfans whom lives in their mother's basements with their anime love dolls might get offended if Leliana - the ingame character that their warden romanced over 10 years ago - "cheats" on their warden by *gasp* moving on with her life.

Sounds legit.

That is due to a bug. If you romanced him, he would reject Hawke and/or Isabela. But the bug changed it to where the game didn't recognize the romance. Hence why I am glad for the Keep because it shouldn't have any problems.

But if my Warden shows up in Inquisition, an expansion that includes Zevran would be nice.

This snide remark was brought to you by a man petitioning to bang a virtual character. Seeing as you have resorted to insulting those who made you unable to do so, it's safe to assume this fact is distressing to you.

say what you like but don't act like you're better than anyone else in here.

True. But the whole "8 Options!!1!!" needs to stop being a talking point. Especially when aruing with people who are obviously disappointed with female LIs we have this time around. BW should have never used "More LIs than any DA game!!" as a talking point. It got everyone's hopes up.

My hopes were fulfilled! We got 8 LI's and I'm going to romance them all lol

Definitely, Same goes for Hawke if they "ran off" with their LI. I don't have much hope of seeing Isabela with my F!Hawke, but maybe Anders in a different playthrough where I romanced him. Again, I don't have any hope that they will be seen anyways.

People who like boys and girls were always going to make out like bandits.

Telling an obivously unhappy gay womam or straight or gay male "lol, but, but 8 Options!!" is as obtuse as it would have been saying "Four Romances!!" to a straight girl in 2000 playing Badlur's Gate 2.

Some people are not super excited about the Romances. There's not much you can do about that.

You know what? There should be NO romance DLCs at all. Ever. If it's not part of the vanilla game or an expansion's story arc... just no. DLCs should be restricted to a series of regions that connect together to form a quest line. And that's it. If BioWare feels the need to include new romance options, new weapons, new armor sets, ect it should be through introducing new regions and stories.

I had my time with Leli. I'll forever joke about shadowing her at Skyhold but I am looking forward to our interaction in a non-romantic capacity. I think it'd be so worth it to have her open up to you. Besides...when you get past that wall, she might even hug you...we have no idea. I can live with that. Even as a friend.

Let's not overdue this stuff, guys.

If there was enough demand for DLC romance and people would buy it.

Go ahead.

I doubt there is.

It's not a crime against humanity.

A reason why this as a DLC - and a DLC involving adding another companion into the story - is not an option is down to the frostbite 3 engine. Because the game is made around the engine, adding another companion or love interest (or any character not already in the game) is impossible, as the game would have to be practically remade to add another person into the story.

However, this isn't to say there won't be DLC, but any DLC that we will have would have to be done in a separate location, sort of like a 'Mark of the Assassin' type DLC, instead of a 'The Exiled Prince' DLC which added another companion into the main story plot.

If any companions (and doubtfully, love interests) are added into the game, they will be like Tallis, and not Sebastian

I'm okay with being friend zoned. I really don't like that term though because it seems to take away a person's right to choose if they like you romantically. I'm not a wee lass so i've had enough experience with women to know if they want you, they've already made up their minds...before or after the interactions with you. Also, I'm a woman too.
