I would prefer that they write romance content for new characters rather than have the same characters again- although I would note that this logic could apply to friendships as well. I'm skeptical of Leliana and Varric in DA:I at the moment (Cassandra and Cullen were NPCs we never really had much of a relationship with, so I don't mind them returning).

People who like boys and girls were always going to make out like bandits.

Telling an obivously unhappy gay womam or straight or gay male "lol, but, but 8 Options!!" is as obtuse as it would have been saying "Four Romances!!" to a straight girl in 2000 playing Badlur's Gate 2.

Some people are not super excited about the Romances. There's not much you can do about that.

I only like men. I'm going to romance all companions because of the different perspective and the story elements.

This snide remark was brought to you by a man petitioning to bang a virtual character. Seeing as you have resorted to insulting those who made you unable to do so, it's safe to assume this fact is distressing to you.

say what you like but don't act like you're better than anyone else in here.

Source? I cant remember this. Unless you meant the romance the old god thread, which was... ehm... mostly a joke :P
I made that comment with the "humorous fanboy butthurt he cant romance Leliana" intent but Im sorry if I actually managed to insult someone :P

Sarcasm, irony, satire or saying things half-serious doesent translate well in text.

If it is going to be a DLC(I doubt it) then it's going to come out first day/week.

It would be quite weird to release it after a month, when everyone's already on their 50th gameplay hour at least, then suddenly introducing an update that has Leliana go "Oh hey, now I'm open for romance. Even though I wasn't last time around"

Personally, I'd just save this one for headcanon.

I know I have a Hawke who would just be perfect for Cassandra. But there's not likely to be any way for it to happen. So I'll probably pretend it did, write a short fanfiction and be happy.

It seems that some folks have a harder time than others grasping the concept that when you use the Keep, you can tell the Keep that you romanced Leliana and she wouldn't be available in your game, whereas somebody else could tell the Keep they didn't romance her, and she would be available in their game, and it wouldn't negatively impact anybody else's relationship with her.  I very much favor the option to romance Leliana, and it would make perfect sense to do it in a DLC, you could have all the regular relationship buildup from the main game, which obviously will only be friendship related, and then the romance itself can take place in the DLC part, it would work perfectly!  Count me in for Leliana romance DLC!

I would love it! This would be a great solution for those of us whose Warden romanced Morrigan, but think the Inquisition love interests look ugly.

Anyone who wants to romance Liliana can all they need to do is go and play DAO again and make a new Warden.

Well, your cries of pain and agony have been heard. Apperantly Cassandra's design has changed to make her "hotter" for those who think the inquisition love interests look ugly.

We still don't know the context of the "hotter" comment yet

No being deserves - or could handle - two epic Leli romances in one lifetime. This has been empirically proven. If you even try, your head explodes from too much awesome.

BioWare is just looking out for us.

I agree and support with the decision that bioware made regarding leliana and the facts she is not a LI for the inquisiter. If she is a LI for the warden however you might want more information regarding their relationship. Anything else would be cheap

Considering she's with my female Warden and would never cheat on her, no thanks. :)

Have they added romance options in DLC before? Thinking through DA and ME, I don't think they have.

Unless that was already answered here. Only read page one. Laziness FTW.

Sebastian for DA2 was called a romance. Some people said they got that DLC for free with their game, but some others - myself included - had to pay for it.
